whats peoples thoughts on Mines Chipped ECU got a version III wrx sti 6S ecu

crap mite have to just cut head of bolt push it through and then retap for a bigger hole and put a bigger bolt in?

the things is i can push the bolt right up flush with the body the bolt has about 10mm play up and down so il try cutting head and pushing up into body. and if i cut a hole in the chassis inside car its not going to be seen i could pull bolt out after cutting replace the thread with a nut welded to the body inside chassis rail can cover the hole back up with a plate? if worst comes to worst

ohhh crap not good then how do i fix it ? any ideas? the bolts just flopping around loosely and i cant get it out

im not sure its this bolt here on the passanger side does it come up behind the ecu?

ok so i have a really big problem my gearbox mount on the passanger side the 17mm bolt that goes in has broken. i dunno if its the thread or what but the bolt slops up and down and wont twist out so now it clunks around. where does that bolt go to on the inside of the car? is it just a nut welded to the inside of the car or what i need help please lol

Is it possible to trick a twin turbo ecu in bg legacy to run a single turbo setup temporarily?

well i can start the car in 4th from stop and crawl it into driving and its sweet also anyone help with the spring where does it hook onto?

after inspection the bush going from shifter to gerabox selector is sloppy as fk looks like theres no bush in it at all it slops side to side and back and forth. theres also no spring in the gear shifter for neutral or what ever it is

theres also a hell of alot of play in the gear stick lever aswell very very sloppy

how do i replace and check that?

it does feel ok with car off but also if i get under car it will select if i push it in by hand

just bought a GTB legacy and it wont select into 4th it just grinds possibly dead synchro every other gear is mint. or something simple gear shifter linkages?

lol yeah not sure what im gunna do now a v7 shortie would be nice but as a lump sum not sure

Ok so Im looking at building up a motor strong reliable and above factory specifications. I want something that will handle 220-260kw easily and be able to take abit of a 'hiding' This will be a slow build and will be done bit by bit, I've done some research and have a little bit of knowledge i personall wont be building it but will more than likely help watch and learn, So im starting with a longblock i have attained a v1-2 CDB out of a GT legacy unknown condition which I've stripped back to a basic shortblock. From here whats next? i need to get pistons out and check bores? if its had a bad BEB i will probably need a new crank? Do i get the block cleaned and honed possibly bored out to suit bigger pistons? Plans are to put some good forged pistons and rods in with a good set of bearings. Would some factory HF3 pistons suffice or some aftermarket Wiseco etc, I will look at either some gtb or version 3/4 sti heads as motor will be going into a version 2 wrx. Lots of questions here hopefully some knowledgeable nice guy will shed some light on this cheers in advance.

ok a really dumb question haha ive pulled out my wrx carpet and i want to thoroughly clean it can i put it in a washing machine hahaha or is there a better way to do it i want to clean the topside and underside of carpet

anyone know why a car temp gauge would go colder on open road at 100kms? it goes under the lowest temp and when u pull over it idles as if its just been started up. around town car will stay at normal operating temp and idle corectly. possible thermostat issue?

Do GD struts fit gc? From what I've read only rear top hats need replaced anyone got experience on this ?

All I'm really after is the dash itself Not really fussed on the speedo cluster even if I could retrofit the speedo cluster into the version 5 dash lol. Now I'm sounding silly.. But hey i rekon it would look good

how do the looms work? is there a seperate loom for dash engine and body?
