I have my E-tune back from subaru now - is going great - they replaced the leaky fuel hoses - had to get these from Subaru in Japan! - and I also put another ECU in the car as well the ECU was out of a 2002 B4 - and it seems to have fixed the det! and the cars doing 14.7 psi
yeah I agree - A lot of the REV D E-tunes came out with STI pedals and a genome boost gauge mounted in the same place - I would have thought that in Japan they decided to put them on - maybe they were part of the options list when buying the car?
So why would someone spend $200+ on A Zero Sports Intake kit If it made shit all difference? Its just that Im wondering about swapping one off my GTB that I\'m selling to my E-tune that I\'m keeping
what advantages do you get or would you get with a Zerosports Intake kit? - Is the pipe a bit bigger inside - I cant really see any advantages with the chrome pipe to the stock plastic pipe
any ideas?
If I was to put a Titanium underbodybrace on my 2001 E-tune - (completely stock apart from HKS BOV and Cusco Strut brace)
would I get any handling advantages - or any advantages?
Cheers
It feels pretty normal to me - it doesn\'t det I do notice it uses more fuel than my e-tune - not neccessarily wanting to take it out - just interested as to what it does
Cheers
Hi guys I decided to look at the ECU in my GTB 2000 today - this is the one I\'m selling
http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/subaru/auction-531514150.htm
And I found out that it has an Eifel ECU in it it also says on it \'\'Prova Concept of the Nurburgring\'\'
What would be the advantages of one of these It doesn\'t really seem to have much more power than my 01 E-tune, still does 1.0bar
Well I measured the pistons myself and yes they are these sizes:
Size 40.5mm (Outside diameter)
29.5mm high
which is very strange ??? ??? so my only option is to get the three stuffed pistons relined which will cost 450ish so it maybe not worth the bother
I can answer a few of your questions
You probably dont need to reset your ECU unless it has issues
Subaru Upper Engine Cleaner is used for cleaning inside the bores and inside your manifold can stop knocking and improve fuel economy - I persoanlly put a can through any subaru I buy
an ECU reflash basicly tunes your ECU to run better on our fuel - or get more power
Others may be able to help with your other Qs or state if I\'m wrong with any of my answers - good luck with your car dude!!
If anyone could carjam AQQ803 - (this is the that the calipers I bought came off) and confirm that the caliper pins would be the same size as every other WRX this age?
Cheers
thanks - I think its a bit weird - I had Nelson brake services pull the calipers to bits and check the pistons - I\'m wondering whether they measured them wrong?
