hey im just wondring if i could use any manaul driveshaft on a 96 hx20s box of are the different as i just relised the auto trads is quite a bit linger than the man trans cheers ethan

Hey I\'m currently doing an auto to manual conversion on a 93 hx impreza and would like to knowif any one could tell me what to do with the wireing to get around the start in gear lock out switch and also reverse light?? Any help would be great thanks

I just susd it out the were both 2 spins of the driveshaft flange too spin the axle once so hopefully I can use the auto diff with the manual conversion as they use 2 different types of c.v and don\'t want to have to replace them as we\'ll. also brought a clutch kit push type from m.p auto parts cost $299 including getting my flywheel machined which wasn\'t to bad ithought

im having a wee bit of trouble finding out the final drive for these too trans ive got one is auto and the other 1 man MT TY752VSCAA AT TZ102ZW3AA could any body point me in the direction of a chart of non turb imprezas?

the 18 is a 93 and the 20 is a 96 but yeah give it a new lease of life and get some garage space back

so i just found out to day that ye you can bolt a ej18 plenum on to an ej20 single cam block and heads every think was similar apart from the throttle body and icv, but yea only time will tell need to sus a clutch kit now and give it a go

the plenums look a bit different tho just wondring if any 1 had done it or knows

hey all im doing a little bit of research before i rip in to my next project, im wanting to turn my 93 1.8 auto impreza in to 2.0 non turbo manual with my spare running gear what i want to know is would the ej18 intake plenum bolt on to the ej20?? as ive noticed the intake plenum\'s have different [plugs and stuff are different any ideas? cheers ethan

hey i just scooped up another impreza its a Ej18 GF6 auto it was running like s*** when i got it.. put a spare ej20 coil pack, leads and plugs on it runs smooth now, i just have one problem i need to solve its got a check engine light when it idols when its warm, as soon as you touch the gas pedal, in goes away until u take your foot off, so far ive changed the afm module, and its still the same, what else could it be, was thinking 02 sensor??? any help would be grateful ethan

just letting every one know there is a gf8 wrx wagon up at pik a part in lower hutt was pretty complete when i went up there this morning but they dont last long black body ..
