  1. good coz it looks poos on a gc8!
  2. Hi guys, I have a V1 WRX I have a "spare" V3 sti motor I\'m just flipping the manifold I notice they are quite different - Which one is better to go with? Thanks
  3. Whaaaaaaaaaaat,,,, "This unit makes your injectors act like the next size up allowing you to run more boost without increasing or changing your fuel system or computer." You would ABSOLUTELY need to change the tune to do that.... (Unless you like your car running pig-rich)
  4. Vice grips still dont clip on to the removable kits....
  5. Go and see Jacques at Pitstop at the Hub at Botany and tell him Rich sent you. He will look after you
  6. Meh realistically I only want 300-350 Should be able to do that at relatively low psi.
  7. Never mind sorted. I think all i need to figure out is pistons and rods and im good to go. I\'ll talk to the guy thats doing my machining for that
  8. I *think* the TD05 will run out of puff before the motor.... the destroker is pretty rev happy
  9. haha the pro of the destroker is i already have the parts Nah im pretty good with the decision to do the destroker I\'m not the best with turbos - I see a lot in the states with a GT35, and tbh i\'m not sure how the oldschool td\'s compare.
  10. OK, so the 2.34 sounds sexy as hell. I already have a 2.5 block, so the destroker seems to be the way to go. I guess I need: my 2.5 block my 2.0 crank some forged pistons some forged rods oil pump gasket set mls head gaskets cam belt / tensioner ARP studs / bolts Clutch Are my 565cc injectors and TD05-25G big enough? Any other tips?
  11. 2.34 is 2.5 block, 2.0 crank, and custom rods, right?
  12. thats the 2.0 rods in the 2.5 block?
  13. building another to push harder No I meant why the 2.35 over the 2.5?
  14. I like the thought of the 2.5 as well.... Why the V3 heads over the V7\'s? What pistons and rods do I want?
  15. Hi guys I have a V1 WRX. So far it has an Sti Close Ratio gearbox in it, and a few bolt ons. I recently wrecked V3 STI, and pulled the motor from that. The plan was to rebuild the STi motor with aftermarket pistons and rings etc. My friend has just offered me a 2.5 block.... Anyway, what would be a good way to go? So far I have at my disposal: V1 WRX motor V3 STi motor V7 WRX heads TD05 Turbo TD05-25G turbo 565cc injectors Z32 AFM Completely remappable 4plug ECU I would like to keep it 4 plug - I guess that means I should use V1 sensors / loom etc I\'d like to build something reliable, fun, and able to pull a mean heli Eventually the car will get a 6 speed box I have a reasonable budget.... Any suggestions?
  16. Allen key and drill it out if you still want it to be tamper proof..... I\'m good at rounding nuts and bolts haha :-[
  17. The prova ones are usually pretty good. If you dont finish up using the one with the daughterboard, let me know...
  18. Did you get this sorted? The Profec B is not really chipped..... You would really want it retuned for your car.
  19. Sweet I converted to V7 COP's and they are running nice
  20. Not worth flipping it, or not worth running AC?
  21. is that what the 12mm (I think) spacers do? ahhhh makes sense
  22. Thanks guys! Now how can i flip the manifold and keep my A/C?
  23. So I could use this: EJ20K Block EJ20K heads EJ20G intake TD05 EJ20G sensors EJ20G ECU - retuned Would I use the COP or the Wasted Spark? Thanks!
