1. I would love to see a simple algorithm if that is a complex one. We are talking about the stock motor here so Mr Fuji built it. Carefully selected modifications, consistent fuel quality and the experience of the mapper are more relevant here. If you pay attention to the detail with the stock motor it is amazing what you can get away with.
2. There is a t/s billet version now available. Looking forward to mapping one.
3. spool my friend - the P18 exhaust housing is modified for a larger turbine wheel
4. It is an MD321T turbo (non billet) from Lateral Performance in the UK. Basically a standard location hybrid with a P18 exhaust housing and garret ball bearing core. Goes well on a 2L. On 2.5 makes for incredible spool and top end. Here is some footage of the same turbo on a newage wagon with a forged 2.5. Happy days.
5. Here v8 Sti I mapped in the UK before moving to NZ. OEM engine, TMIC, full decat of course, 800c injectors, walbro, tubular headers. Mapped to run mafless/speed density via the OEM ECU. 282 KW and 457 NM torque at the wheels. I mapped it 18 months ago and it\'s still going strong despite a regular ragging.
6. Certain WRX vs Sti ROMs will clip the logable boost to different hard limits rather than the actual limit of the sensor Of course I wouldn\'t recommend mapping a car at the limit of the sensor though in order to maintain over boost fuel cut functionality. Yes that car is an absolute flying machine!
7. That sensor will actually read up to 1.7 bar. Here is one on a V7 Sti I mapped to 1.65 bar running a GT28.
8. I have software which will read and write to ECUs which have been locked by commercial products such as the above. Ecutek or opensource - the tune is only as good as the skills and experience of the person using the software The 2 port boost solenoid on the V7 wrx is more than capable of solid boost control and quick response on small to mid sized turbos such as the TD04 or VF range if properly mapped and a correctly sized restrictor pill is used for the particular turbo.
9. just to report back for the benefit of others I fixed this with a 150 psi 0-5v pressure sensor off Ebay for $50
10. Hi my sender unit has gone on the blink and I need to source another one for the above. I have googled but can\'t seem to find a supplier. Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks.
11. Hi I have a non DCCD 6 speed box and the 5/6th sycnro is crunching. Can anyone recommend somewhere in Auckland area to repair it and what sort of money we\'re looking at. Thanks.
12. thanks are there any ecutek agents in the south island?
13. Hi I am planning on emigrating to NZ from the UK later this year and just wandered if there many companies on the north or south island who specialise in remapping/tuning subarus you would recommend? Cheers
