  1. Hey everyone

As per the title my 2003 BH5 E-Tune Legacy won\'t start

Dash lights come on, Fuel Pump primes, but it wont turn over not even a click.

At which stage I notice there is a flashing LED on the dash, and remember there is a aftermarket horn under the bonnet.

Basically I used the standard Subaru key my car came with (the only one, the dealer wouldn\'t get me a second regardless of my haggling) since I bought it and I noticed that unlocking/locking from the remote could be intermittent - assuming it was a flat battery in the remote I just used the key to lock and unlock it for the last two months because we have a dog tied within biting range of the car until I got around to sourcing a battery.

Which brings me to last night when my partner thought the cr was unlocked and tried opening it twice, she said it was beeping at her, and I didn\'t think anything of it till today when I tried to start it.

I have pulled the key apart to put the new battery in with no luck, the electronics are in great condition no sign of blown anything and it hasn\'t had a drop of water since I have owned it.

Does anyone know how I can find out what type of alarm I have? I am assuming it is just the immobilizer stopping me from starting it.

If anyone has any ideas or can help I would greatly appreciate it my other car is off the road atm so this is my partner and I\'s only vehicle arm -_-

  2. Hey people I have been thinking about getting a dash cam for some time given all the crazy shit I see on the roads and the chance of some idiot hitting me and doing a runner (my mate got hit, followed the driver, police said they couldn\'t send someone, and the insurance company refused to do anything with no police report) so I thought I would see if any clubsub members have experience with them.

I definitely want something 720p or higher, anything lower would be pointless but there seems to be a lot of disparity in camera quality, especially for nightvision.

A quick release would be cool too but that seems to be impossible based on the models I have looked at thus far.

I was looking at one of these - http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130455460442

Based on this review - http://www.carcamcentral.com/reviews/chinese-dash-camera-showdown

He also reviewed them for youtube which I watched, and it was really good, available here -

  3. heh I do, I just like to take my s*** with me : D

I forgot to mention, I had multiple screens in my cars over the years and half the reason I use the tablet mounted to the windscreen now is that using touchscreens mounted low is pure balls - in the Legacys at least unless you have long arms and like cuddling the steering wheel its extremely awkward to use them at that height and angle.

I view it the same way as texting, I would never go back to non touchscreen but it was super easy to use the old phones for texting and calls without having to actually dedicate concentration to the mechanics of it.

This is what I have currently, obviously it has a big ugly mount on the windscreen but it takes two seconds to attach, and puts it well within reach. I also like retaining my headunit and 1 din cubbys : D

  4. I\'ll stick with my windscreen mount for the transformer

Ipads = 4:3 which is crap to begin with not to mention portrait mode.

Dedicated for GPS/music/internet browsing would be fine, but I\'d have trouble justifying it for just that with a gorgeous screen in my car begging for movies and music videos.

Also the idea of windows tablets is making me wet

  5. Hey people I heard about this a couple of days back and assumed it would be fixed by the time I saw it but apparently not, I went into BP this morning and came out grinning.

Will just copy pasta from my facebook:

Just got me 41 free redbull from the BP thingy - buy a bunch of Redbulls at 3 for $7 at BP and get a bunch of cents per litre off.

    How much?

Redbull Can x41 = $98 and 213cents per litre off your gas purchase.

Had to pay $4.95 extra because I run my car on 98 but I got 50L of 98 octane petrol and 41 redbull for $102.05

Pics for proof - BPs to run out of redbull everywhere!

  6. Very very tidy articice

Slap some rims on that and it will be a super nice roller

Reckliz RS STi - I have been meaning to ask someone where do you get the tinted snap ons for the headlights?

And has anyone here used tint on the rears?

Was thinking of doing the front and rear lights with this stuff - http://www.sikfx.com/sik-fx-shop/detail/19-head-light-tint/sikfx/46-smoked-black-tailllight-protection-vinyl-film.html?sef=hcfp

But I am worried that with 70% transperancy light output will be reduced too much for the fronts, the rears I am not stressing over though

  7. stickers can be removed if you dont want them.

    subraru front bumper

    mitzie side skirts

    mazda rear bumper spoiler

    mitzie lancer boot spoiler

was pink for 2yrs .now its blue has been for last 18months.

I had damn near pissed myself after this paragraph -_-

  8. Hey people

Been looking for some second hand lower springs for my GTB BH Legacy, haven't had too much luck yet so I thought I would see exactly what will fit in place of what I have - If I can use springs from another Subaru application it would make finding second hand ones a lot easier.

    Any help appreciated

  9. Took my new lady for a drive today and gave her a good clean.

Also took some pretty photos of her, reminds me I really need to use some cut and polish on the headlights.

Looking to lower her a couple of inches and add some nice rims to the mix when funds allow it too. (or possibly Swindogs when I get to check em' out rofl)

  10. Beat me to posting it - fucking amazing as expected, even that first turn is chock full of awesome sauce.

Cracks me up seeing comments about rims changing colour and the amount of skidmarks - because they did it all in one take with one set of wheels -_-

As usual I am more impressed with how few skidmarks there, that they get the perfect take so quickly.
