  1. could you please elaborate on your last paragraph. Nor really sure what you mean by blow by gasses and blow by flow.
  2. I had my air filters cleaned and replaced since and just recently had my air con treated. The car smelt great after I got back in it but the next day, the fuel smell was there as it was warming up. It might be worth mentioning that at the same time i got the hoses and clamps replaced, the fuel filter, pump and pump housing was replaced.
  3. I have a B4 Legacy 2001 BE5 that has the same problem with a fuel smell coming through the air vents. I have had a mechanic replace the 3 hoses under the manifold (and yes it needs to come off), all clamps replaced and tightened as much as they can. While the fuel smell is still there it is not as bad as it was but then again we are coming back into winter so it might get worse again. I really wish that someone knew the exact cause as it\'s driving me insane. My next step would be to replace the entire fuel rail but dont have that kind of money to achieve this. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  4. I would take it in but don't have the time to take it in with work, study and sports. If you can help me out here, I would really appreciate it.
  5. Can you please tell me exactly where the purge solenoid and carbon canister is as I don't have a clue. Thanks
  6. I have a Legacy B4 2001, EJ20, twin turbo boxer engine. I have has this problem for a couple of months and it seems to be getting worse as it gets colder. Every time I start the car in the morning, with the heater on demist, there is a very strong smell of gas that comes through the vents. I have searched for obvious leaks...nothing. I have searched the net for possible solutions and while there are a few good suggestions, my lack of mechanical knowledge prevents me from getting my hands dirty to try these suggestions out. Can someone please explain to me how to fix this problem. Thanks
