so if i was to bolt a r180 into a 1998 subaru rwd wagon, i would want to use the v3 sti ra / r hubs to keep the factory brakes single pot sliders? random job for a guy
-
im useing a v4 ecu but the loom is a 1997 3plug tt
-
its all in the title, im after the colur of the b135 14 wire also known as the tach or engine speed wire, not plugged in on mine and there are afew wires just hanging out haha
-
Those rims are teh sex.
Oh boy do you need a link or tuneable ecu of sorts. Wonder how it would go at the dyno day in present state. You out a gate on it yet lulz?
will need a ecu soon lol i reckon 190ish ta 200kw, idk but going to run it on 16psi for abit untill i get a motor that can handel the jandel lol im selling my old gate to get a genuine one, also just brought a ceff for 500, once it resells ill dump whetever cash into the subby hehe

awesome and yea shees RWD, reason for selecting the 4.1 ratio is so the speedo dosent go out, but yea could throw anything in it realy
-
Ok so my RS is currently running a R180 diff but im thinking about throwing a R200 diff from a 25DET skyline into it, well not thinking about it, im going to do it and use shafts with modded cv ends
The ones from the skyline are 4.1 but the subarus are 4.11? is there much diffrence? im no ratio expert
Thanks

What is it, what does it do and can i remove it ?????

linkemsuby - lots of people use lots of brands successfully, its really down to engine builder preference and therefore you should be talking to them about recomendations.
regarding the injector sizing i was more inferring stock injectors wont flow enough, and that a minimum of about 600 would be required for 250wkw, obviously larger leaves more head room.
if you want the ultimate simple / easy solution just buy the 450+hp PBMS shortblock and bolt on factory sti heads. job done.
i wouldnt port the heads, you dont need to, i\'ve been running 305wkw at all fours successfully for some time on factory as sti heads. is money you could better spend else where imo
Cool notes taken

realy depends on what price your after? im guessing its going to be alot more than what im able to get it for as i have hookups for cheap parts but very good parts

ok sweet, i was thinking about CCing the yellows i have to 550cc or 540, forgot how big he said he can make them :\'( :\'( :\'(. So the block should be fine? and the head\'s i may send away to be ported. im going to have this motor bouncing off limiter alot so only reason im forging an to handle extra power and revs. may go for bigger power at a later date but im happy with 250 kw at the rear wheels
will scrap the sleves then, just wanted to make sure they were or wernt needed. does anyone know the best bearings to use? funky says OEM? i heard cosworth is very good to. to assemble it, possum bourne motorsports?
I do most of the work myself however im not going to do this as ive never done it before and its expensive to mess up :-X :-X :-X

Blew up the motor lol time to build something decent for it. Building a ej20g closed deck block now. thinking about geting a piston and rod set off realstreet prformance. also going to use ej20k type r heads, new job with big payrise means i have some money to burn and save power goal is 250kw+ and reliable.
that\'s the piston and rod set. ok so what do i need to do if anything to get my power and reliability goal with the heads. i have a fair idea however id like to be sure before i start wasteing money.
I know the block needs very good bearings and poss dry selves?

Adjusted the clutch throw rod, it\'s a bit more drivable now. Clutch replacement is on the cards, already have the clutch.
/quote]
how do you do that? mines gone crap now....
Have a look on the back of your clutch pedal, theres a rod going through the firewall and screwed into your clutch pedal. Undo the locking nut and spin the rod to suit. I wound the rod towards the clutch pedal, pulling the throwout pin into the cabin. Ideally you want about 1cm travel before it puts any pressure on the clutch. Will take some pics tomorrow
Awesome thanks. im sure i can find it

Will be giveing him a call next week to come make me cry or largh as he shakes his head at me. I purchased all my pipes from Pipe line on partiki dr in avondale, guys seriously know their pipe\'s and can coustom make most things for ya
-
got her back together now so in total what i have done is
-Non ABS conversion
-Twisted turbo manifold
-Front faceing intake
-Ran intercooler pipeing under the headlights
Two weeks in my guarage after work and less than $800 its done ;D ;D
this is it before i started
This is it after
I have had to stop here as im moveing tomorrow so still need to tidy up wireing and put an exturnal wastegate on it. also will need to chop out the underside of the bonnet so i can close it and will replace the blue bends with black ( only brought as they didnt have black and i was in a rush :-X :-X :-X
If your looking to do this its rather easy and just requires time and skills on a welder or a friend ;D ;)
-
So today i brought lots of hoses and alloy pipe, fabricated the intercooler pipeing to go under the headlights, rewired the manifold to suit front faceing, installed new brakes and the new rewired and compleatly fucked with manifold, looks good and should be going tomorrow, will post pics soon once i get my camera back
