  1. just installed my zerosport sequential controller, have yet to have a decent tutu with setting and what not. but seems like it could be the best way to go about things without resorting to a single turb conversion. more to follow.
  2. my stomach saved my car, decided to go to subway at the bombays as i was heading to hams. hopped out of the car and noticed a pungent coolant smell, looked under the car.....puddle....F#*k..... topped up the reservoir and limped home. all while towing a trailer, and keeping an eagle eye on the temp gauge. got home got out the pressure tester. turns out the coolant return hose on the primary turbo is split...soo yeah. hopefully i can tackle the task without pulling off the turbo. it is in a really awsome place too....
  3. yes!! its pretty cool. kinda bogan but cool none the less...
  4. Did you get that daughterboard online or are there local retailers?
  5. Done some more shopping at pick a part. scored a complete shift linkage with what i suspect are new bushes they basically looked brand new. 30 bucks. Gonna mod the lever to shorten the shift......should be maaaaddd
  6. does anybody know of anyone who sells them in New Zealand or imports and if anyone has one, what gains do you get performance wise? has VOD been eliminated?
  7. yeah also tempted to do that too....but then dont really want to find out down the line after my car has shat itself on the side of the road because i pulled all that out. not that it would cause that. but these things are pretty complex to a degree... i blame the guy who decided to put that solenoid there.....plastic and heat aren\'t really a wedded bliss type of combination. then again, wedded bliss can be complex over time....so i guess in a way, it is....
  8. yeah, uhh while i was trying to be a clever guy thinking i could change out the stock vacuum lines i simply pulled on one hose after removing the tmic, but to my horror the whole plastic tube attached to the solenoid broke off . so my question to you is what is that solenoid or better yet. do i need it? the solenoid is located below the intake manifold on the side the bypass valve fits on the intercooler.
  9. Yeah i thought the squeaky bov was biz, after 2 weeks of having one.....not so much. so qiute possibly....plumb back....judging by the rumours, might be the way to go. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  10. Daaamnnn those first couple pics....... might want to check the exhaust for birds small animals and missing children. Pretty sure that churbo would have sucker them straight in from the side of the road.... Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  11. cant be bothered with that, will just go the pick a part get one and either machine some bushes or buy some. so can just do a straight swap. hopefully for a fraction of the price. just a tad more time consuming.
  12. While i was at pick.a.pick doing some part shopping, i pulled one off to see how tricky it was. Off wasnt soo bad but refitting looked tricky. Pick.a.part is awsome. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  13. sweet dude, by any chance would you happen to know what size pipe it was? abit lazy checking it myself.
  14. Thanks for that, i found myself in reading heaven for a while there. a few good ideas to get the old creative juices flowing.
  15. sweet, thanks for the heads up. I still may consider it, if i find one for a decent price it will be mine. As mentioned "not really looking to make it fast, just make it tidy" i think i\'ll keep adding to this thread to give it "the more you post the more you know" feel. and at the same time steering away from the not fast but tidy topic of this particular thread. This is a bit of a hori idea (because i am, so it\'s alright) but will cutting the front side of that intake resonator in the RHS guard, effectively making it a air dam cause any problems? thought about removing it all together but didn\'t, and thought cutting it seemed like a better idea as the air is getting a fairly solid direction path. Im sticking with the stock air box, as there are not too many people who seem to favour the idea of putting a pod filter in the engine bay and putting one down in the guard is just straight out of the question. Just a thought.
  16. Ok, searching didn\'t really help much, so i\'m just going to put the question out there. Is it possible to fit a later model legacy intercooler to my BG5 GTB? Albeit, my car is basically bulk standard. besides the big hulking ssqv BOV that doesn\'t seem to fit any where but above the battery (which is secured on a bracket). And its not possible to mount it directly to the intercooler as you would with later versions. not really looking to make it fast. just make it tidy.
  17. wayne

    Bov for b4

fitted a hks sequential BOV to my 97 gtb, instantly eliminated the flutter (which was the goal) so that seems to have done the trick, next task is to find A). A boost controller or B) A viable method to either eliminate or reduce VOD. reading through the post put up some good options. will put that on hold until the new year. As xmas period tends to drain the funds in a rather quite quick way.
  18. pretty sure you have a obd 1, as i have tried finding my diagnostic port and have not seen anything close to an obd2 terminal. In saying that, does anyone want to buy a bluetooth obd2 diagnostic terminal? lol
