Don't suppose you have a way of getting in contact with him?
Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
I’ll message you his cell number. No idea if it’s still current or not though -
Marky that used to be on here still does some so should be able to sort you out. I haven’t seen his listing on marketplace in a while but he probs still does them

Have you got a obd2 cable? Have you checked if there are any codes active for the trans.
I've had a quick gander through the service manual but couldn't find anything regarding the flashing line where the gear could be.

Need to replace the brakes on my 05 legacy, it has black brembos, assuming it’s a ‘tbsti’
what’s the rear rotor handbrake drum size? Apparently in classic Subaru fashion these are different than normal brembo stuff
TIA
190mm like the STI’s on the tbSTI setups, it would be worth confirming beforehand if you can’t confirm it’s a legit tbSTI and not a retrofit. You need rotors that fit a V7 STI if it is for sure complete tbSTI setup

I might know someone with one available, I’ll let you know if he is selling

Anyone know if this would suit? Looks like the sucker I need...
I’d assume that’s a ripoff AliExpress version which is a risky purchase as the flash going wrong will brick the ecu which is a major- 2

It's a monster task on these cars. To get it to work properly you really need a donor vehicle to swap everything over or you’ll be stuck dealing with random canbus errors and the cost re-syncing everything together.

Pretty sure the facelifts need the tactrix cable as the vehicle type for connecting to ecuflash is ‘subaru can’ which the cheap cables don't support.

It really isn’t that bad to pull them and put them back in. I did mine a few weeks back on a sloping driveway which added some challenges but I still got through it in a couple of hours.

Buggered both the threads on the chassis for the gearbox cross member
Does anyone else have a great deal of trouble getting those lined up? Seems the cross member needs bending slightly for both bolt holes to lines up.
Mine came pre-cross threaded by the last owner. It was a pricey balls up to fix too as they needed to cut the box section open to weld on a bolt.
I normally have a big flathead in the opposite side one to maneuver the crossmember into place to get the first bolt in then the second one usually requires a pry bar to get it all lined up.

Is it the fact the each bank joins vs the opposite cylinders.
wont you just need to swap the pipes at the collector.
length alone may not give you the rumble. And the extra length of pipe would be hard get to a low mount.
Have a look at the tomei version. They seem confident in their design not losing much performance while giving a more Subaru sound while just lengthening the two pipes on one side without any rerouted pipes

Interested to see how this performs.
The Tomei UEL ones for the FA engine look alright but everyone just rips on them for the inefficiency of the idea without really testing them.

Remove all restrictor pills with a 3-port.
Right hand port to atmo, middle to comp cover and left one to the wastegate

I’ve got the 5.0 version It seems to be more than fast enough for how often I use it. I also got it with the rubber bumper case and the battery sense module which helps a bunch by notifying me when it's starting to get low.- 1

My legacy b4 2008 2.5ltr non turbo model jdm spec. I am question is it twin cam or single cam?
The 2.5 non turbo’s are usually single cam (per side). You can tell looking at the front of the engine whether the black covers on the front have two big bulges or one at each end

Also someone like Harley Warwick on FB who wrecks subies will have them available for various vehicles at better than normal wrecker prices.

Pedders may do springs.
sway bars if you have the factory bar and mounts then look at the Sti from the 08-14 if the american forums can be trusted. A high vehicle and heavy bar would be pretty s***.
the white line bars are very stiff even in the Sti they are overkill on the road. Even at 40kph on a tight 90 turn the car squats at the back enough to feel the balance shift.
for shocks maybe the legacy would be closer in that it is higher than Impreza and could be same mounting.
A GR impreza crosstrek/xv whichever one it was at that point would probably be the closest since the forester chassis is usually closer to an impreza than a legacy

Chuck your vehicle model into japanparts or somewhere like really sport direct and see what that spits out. There must surely be a few options for moderate drop they have.

His has just gone back up on TM for 78k.
I'd be amazed if there was someone out there willing to pay that price for such a high km car that isn't even stock or even very rare (several on TM right now)... but who knows?
Mostly I'm pissed at the current asking prices of these cars because it means if I crash mine I can't replace it, and have just destroyed a 100k car.. not a 20k car!
It's still on Facebook at 85k also.
I assume you're talking about crashing it at a race event where insurance is a iffy thing?

I think Niran is still trying to unload his one in the more traditional WRB for high 80’s
-
Very good question. I've trying to find the same answer for my fully stock one with 110kkm on the clock. Harley apparently sells them for 3-4k usually for a semi bare timed longblock.

SUV wheel arches
rear diffuser like the Toyota did to Camry “inspired by nascar” s***.
guess that why 3rd gen as they never got the early wrx.
They still got the GD gen for WRX’s didn't they? Which would make this by that logic the 4th gen.

When I talked to jaycar, they said that the LEDs like that needed a resistor or something when going into a car. I am not that savvy with electronics so I dunno if this is true or not but I tried wiring up a resistor to one of those LEDs and it cannot fit back into the socket.
I guess you could try anyway. The only issue I can think of is without a load correction resistor some led bulbs can stay slightly lit when off but that's with 240v AC stuff, I'm not sure what would happen with 12v DC.
Is it the brightness or colour you want to change them for?
-
Jaycar will have something that fits that profile.

Yeah get a dual boot going. I've done the same as darkchief with my MacBook, some things apparently work with macos but it's an uphill battle with zero support in general so make it as simple as possible and do it the way everyone else does
