  2. Just picked up my new GT legacy From compliance today and iv got a couple querries... 1- how do I get the keyless entry to work?? Iv done a search and can only find info relevant to the older legacys? 2-I failed compliance cos of my lower front suspension arms needing new rear rubber as the are cracked and perished... Is there a good aftermarket option for this? It's a press in and out job so if anyone has some good advice? 3-I want my Subaru rumble back! Can anyone point me in the right direction for a good quality after market option to suit the 2005 GT's? Thanks guys :-)
  3. Iv got a 2 door impeza that iv been building for a track day racer... I'm at the sharp end of the stick now and have done most all the work myself over the years but I'm stuck when it comes to electrical work... I'm in the christchurch area and need someone to trim and fit the loom back in. Any suggestions??? Also where is a good plce to take it for tune? (running a possum link)
  4. I have just purchased a 2005 Legacy GT and I am missing the rear cover that pulls over the boot space. Where is the best place to go to get one of these? has anyone else had to buy one?
  5. The current GT has lower kw output I'm positive so what year did they lower it?
  6. Is there a web page that gives the differing power outputs from year to year? I'm importig a leagcy and a 2005 is up for a good price but don't know if they droppedthe power output that year from 205kws?
  7. My mate has an SVX which he loves and is keen to change it to RWD and put in a manual gearbox, not sure about compatibily but has anyone done this before? If so what is involved? My first thought was to put in the 6speed box?
  8. if anyone needs trailing arm or front arm bushes replaced iv got a tool set to do both without any damage. PM me if you are interested :-)
  9. What about the trailing arm? Anyone ever got the factory rubber bush out to replace?
  10. I didn't start a debate Bout it simply asking questions... Good call though re me over thinking it... I do need the adjustment if I'm going to get it handling well. Thanks to all for the information here :-)
  11. Dude! Take a chill pill! Just because I ask more quetions does not mean I'm not listening! No need to be an arse about it...
  12. They are 1.8 kilos per lower arm compared with .8 kilo for STD item... So that's 2 whole kilograms heavier per wheel... That's not insignificant???!!! Sure adjustibility is VERY important for a track car but that's a big unsprung weight increase...
  13. I'm looking at the adjustable rear arms that noltec make but I'm worried about unsprung weight increases??? Does the benifit of adjustibilit. Outweigh the increase in unsprung weight? They are over twice as heavy as the factory item.
  14. Wow thanks... I am a little dubious still of the noltec brand, they say in their blurb on trademe that they are 25 percent softer than there competitors... Hardly a desirable trait for the track... Hmmm
  15. sounds good... much cheaper than whiteline!!! any one else have any issues/recommendations?
  16. Sorry for double post but has anyone had experience with the "NOLTEC" brand???
  17. As per the title ;D I am building/finnishing my club day coupe off and was looking at a few bits for the suspension when I saw these... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=261982675 My querry is, how does this product (NOLTEC) compare to whiteline and the likes? Is it going to be suitable for track squirts?
  18. The newer one... I think the latter of your querry? It's the new shape single turbo version
  19. Hi all, I am looking at buying the 2003 facelift legacy for my family car but cant seem to find the information about specific power output between the GT and the GT spec-B? can anyone elighten me on the difference between the GT and the GT spec B? ??? Thanks, Scottie.
  20. still 40k... anyone listening??? I own a 2 door track racer and want to convert to a replica... I dont actually want a 22B! not good for the track or I would have to ruin it to use on the track.
  21. well I wont be buying the real thing as I dont have a spare 100K but I do have a spare 10 and already own a track settup retena coupe... It is however im finding difficult to get "exact" replica parts, most people to the WRC wide body parts with only a few doing something 'very similar' to a 22B. Possum in auckland qoted over 10k for parts alone when you can have them shipped from the UK for 3k!!!! anyway ill keep doing my research till Im happy with the replica quality parts that will do it.
  22. It seems to me that most of the fibre glass replica parts on close scrutiny are actually not exact 22 part acurate... The aerosim place seems to make the best match... I rang subaru the other day and bumper and front guards (authentic 22B) are around $10000NZD... ouch! If anyone knows of a more EXACT replica design then post some links!
  23. Same material just thicker... Trust me Tufnol does not compress either! its hard stuff... cheers for that..........sounds like a worthwhile mod to have........my manifold also gets quite hot Yea to me its worthwhile... I just thought that those 20mm thick ones could have created some problems for the injectors... if you want PM me and ill sell you a 6mm set for $80... I agree with the 20mm thick ones and the problems that could cause without retuning. I sussed out the gizzmo ones on TM......he said they are only 3mm thick so i don't imagine that is going to cause any issues.......and by the time they bolt down and compress (if they do) the thickness is down to 2mm. Insignificant isn't it? Someone tell me if I'm wrong. My other question about that thickness is are they just as effective at 3mm as they are at 6mm or even 20mm? ..........anyway scottie.......u have 6mm ones?....same type as the gizmo or diff? Same material just twice as thick... makes a massive difference in heat transfer.
