  1. i\'ve got neuton NT5000s on the front of sti at the moment. were well under $200 ea in 205/50/16, and seem a reasonable budget option compared to many i\'ve had in the past on other cars. have only done 1500 or so km on them, but they seem assured in the wet and fine in the dry. the car is purely road going. at this stage i\'d be happy to put another pair on the back when the time comes. have got DZ101s on mx5, have been really good. they have worn the shoulders out, but i guess thats inevitable with hard cornering and dubious alignment specs would definitely steer clear of triangle / kingstar / linglongs / bluestreaks etc. as mentioned above its true that in general the more you spend the better the tyre, but the cost vs performance increase gets more and more marginal IMHO. at some point spending $600 a tyre for 5000k of driving just stops making sense
  2. well i asked the question on the auction and he tells me the GF has longer rear struts than the GC. sounds like i shouldnt believe this though?
  3. interesting, the auction in question specifically states they will only fit sedans. i also had someone tell me the adjustables they were selling would only fit GCs. might have to ask him a question. cheers for your input guys
  4. hi all. i did do a bit of a search with no joy. im sure its been covered before but buggered if i can find it. anyway, i keep reading that GC suspension wont fit into a GF. im wondering why this is. i want to say the rears are different, something to do with the top hat maybe? i\'ve been reading so much subaru stuff its all starting to blur. the reason i ask is im looking at some impreza spec bilsteins, but they are for a GC and i have a GF. i currently have bilsteins in the front of my car, which i think are actually out of a legacy, and while i like the handling etc they have made the front a bit higher than the back... not a great look im sure you\'ll agree so can i make this GC stuff usable by swapping a few parts around with my current suspension? cheers in advance for your advice!
  5. not saying work / enkei etc dont make brilliant quality rims, but i dont think they can claim original inspiration for a lot of their styles either. there are only so many variants of mesh / spokes etc after all if the cost is not a factor then you cant go wrong with the works. IMHO tho rota make good wheels for the dollar. apparently they make alot of OE rims too.
  6. in my experience there are about as many different rocker cover gaskets as there are engine codes. sample always helped, particularly if you are cheaping out on aftermarket
