  1. Due to what looked like a split in a hose and intercooler, can someone please tell me what part this is and how easy is it to fix? figure ill need to stick it on the tow truck and take it into macbuilt

Unless someone can tell me how easy it is to replace, and if someone has a part? version 5 RA rex

    http://tinypic.com/r/2niaeyt/9

I have put an arrow on what I can see as a small tear which caused the spillage that then made the engine steam up. It never overheated on the gauge which I thought was strange at first I thought my radiator had blown its top

  2. cheers for this, ill make a call and see what he says, just want to be sure i am not doing any damage... car feels ok, i have had this idle problem before and replaced a lot of damn parts adn it only ever partially fixed the problem, first time the engine light has come on however, but cannot get a code from it as its not flashing any sequence

  3. Hey guys, got an issue on the version 6 ra wrx. Engine light is on (solid, no flashing). She has a v5 ra engine in. Idling pretty rough, changed the filter out a week ago and just drove her home and never turned her on till today so ugh!?

Any opinions on a good mechanic around here would be appreciated, I used to take her to Waikanae (lived there for a while) so the guy knew the car, but its a bit far to go now.

  4. Hi guys, just wondering if you can throw me a bone as to how to get my wrx version 6 RA going. Been sitting in the garage for 6 weeks after i went to Europe and now it just wont start, the electrics turn on and when i push the clutch in to start the engine i get nothing but this clicking sound (no real turnover), any suggestions? should i check the fuse box?

  5. just putting my two cents worth here on carjam itself, i queried carjam about a car and the rego as they did not match, the response i received is often car jam does not have a picture or proper details of a car, therefore it just puts in the information close enough, if you look at car regos on there you will notice there are a tonne of cars (for example) where it says 1999 wrx v5 and its a bugeye pictured

so car jam acknowledge their database is not completely accurate over details

  6. just thought id put this out there for any opinions, because no one can see into the future

as time goes on, not suggesting for one second that wrx prices will go up and the car itself will become a classic (minus perhaps the 22b), as more and more wrxs are wrecked and rebuilt and wrecked, if you were a crystal ball reader, do you think the wrx will be worthless ultimately one day

  7. im sure there will be a lot of guys here that say what are you on about? its easy! But walked into super cheap the other day to look at car cleaning products, totally confused me... you need undercoats overcoats, after coats, before coats, shine, rinse, waiting for the temperature to rise to 16 degrees and polish with the special mother sponge and then use a leather cloth to finish off the shine, ugh, ended up coming out with nothing

  8. Ive always wondered. And we all know this \'top trade in prices\' by dealers isnt as cherry topping cheese cake as it sounds. What cars have you taken in for trade in and what condition and how much did you get? Are there any dealers out there that will trade you in your car for anywhere near what it is actually worth?!

  9. Or... you can ask the question for what you need on here! Its not as much a long shot as you think. Ive asked for a couple of parts and theres always someone who knows someone who might have a part lying around you are seeking

i read somewhere here that copper sparks are actually the best. just you have to change them more often is that true?

so buying the expensive types seems like a bit of a rip at the end of the day???? or is it each to their own and whatever one person wants to believe lol
