It's been a while since I've posted in the forums. Just wanted to let everyone know I'm working at Highbrook Automotive, have been for almost a year now and i have noticed a few fellow member's cars being brought in. Just a friendly reminder that Club sub members get a 10% discount across the board through us. Be good to see a few more familiar faces. Don't be shy, come say hi to Spencer!  See you all at the monthly meet next week.

Oh really?!! dayum been missing out on this discount...you must have been there when the subaru was dropped off to get the radiator repaired just before christmas?

I just did the last corner as a sharp V instead of hugging the inside corner, means youre only on high load for a brief time as you turn sharp instead of extended G forces hugging the corner. This was on decent road tires in my STI, RE11's.

I think most trackdays at hamptons are now on the dumb small track anyway arent they?

track day is still on the original track doesnt include the new part on it, would be nice to drive the whole thing though... the bikes track days are running full circuit now!

  4. i have done hampton with the subi before just the first and last corner you need to take it easy which is a bit of a shame but still alot of fun though! the guy at the track did mention that on street tires it isnt that bad but yeah who would want to take that risk....you can always over fill the oil a bit as well for the track and dump it afterwards

  5. We have a cusco baby seat from farmers which was recommended by the facebook group as a great seat, we have the little one rear facing... He is on the passenger side and if we have the car seat in the front seat cannot fit anyone into it unless your a midget with no legs, it is a tight squeeze...thankfully we have a second car which is bigger and that can fit someone in the front seat and also the baby seat in the back....

  6. The Grinding sound you hear could be your starter motor playing up, turbo whine is normal when my exhaust was standard i could hear it as well but that was on boost though, if you do a slight accleration do you hear the whine as well or is it just under full boost, whine can also mean turbo is on the way out.. check you the turbo for any play and oil as well on the outside around the pipes and things, take the intercooler out completely and check the pipes for oil and also the intake pipe and just do a nice clean on them and see if that makes a difference... post up some pics or video of what you hear and see...

the radiator top went today on the motorway so parked at highbrook automotive gettting radiator fixed FML! guess it didnt completely overheat which is a bit of a relief.

Some of you may remember how grotto my seats were from my last post back on page 746...

Well, they're back and far out they look good now!

Grant at Final touch spent quite a few hours getting this all done and he's done an absolutely amazing job. Could not recommend more.

He mentioned the doorcards, believe it or not, were by far the worst due to getting the most contact with hands etc. However I've forgotten to take photos of those so will tonight and upload some :)

It's quite easy to fix yourself bud. Take oil sump off give it a clean and seal it with RTV. Doooone.

Thanks bro, will see if i can attempt that, heard all the oil will need to be dumped as well before anything and have to lift the motor up slightly for the sump to come off??

well at least the new xforce redline exhaust is on and whoa what a difference it makes to performance from the standard one...

  9. is this the one on TM for $196 bux was about to bid on it as well but didnt want to start a bidding war lol when you can buy for $209....as i believe you wouldnt notice any difference on a stock tune,  but probably a bit more quieter as in noise levels though the Walbro pumps are known to be quite noisy...
