  1. Sounds like I\'ll need a new gbox, will my current clutch work on a wrx gbox , keen on lower ratios but my clutch is near new and it was expensive... So I want to keep it
  2. can probably suss a vid out tomorrow, no smells, no smoke, feels like the gbox is working as noise gets faster in each gear. and it wont select without the clutch .
  3. Took my factory gtb got a 14.9, broke my gearbox the next day
  4. It tries to move in every gear but sorta just rocks on the spot, As far as time I got it down the strip in 14.90, It was my first time going, but I think thats not a bad time for the old girl considering its factory besides the clutch.
  5. Just went and looked at the car again, as this happend last night, can hear a wine when the clutch pedal is released and its in gear, sounds like something spinning .
  6. I was slipping he clutch to get moving then went to dump the last of it, then a bang then just nothing, no other noises, feels like the car goes into gear can feel the gates on the shifter, but no movement whatsoever.
  7. just slipping the clutch to take off faster, hope its not the clutch its a new excedy heavy duty that\'s just worn in. I don\'t think its any co-incidence that it broke a day after I had it down at nightwars, the launches from the drags cant of helped.

So I broke my GTB, Took off in it rather spiritedly today, it made a loud bang and now it wont move, clutch didnt slip still feels the same, but you put it into gear and release the clutch and literally nothing happens no movement no noises whatsoever in all gears. Anyone experienced a breakage like this, not sure what to do about it. My friends say sell it, but I\'m kinda attached.

  10. I Just did this mod, Im now getting 12 primary and 15 secondary.. Is this safe because before i was getting 8 and 11... Car runs amazingly just scared ill break her... Its a 1998 B/H GTB with 160k.
  11. Is there any preferable one.?.. and where can I find some info in splicing the looms?.. I am still in the planning stage and I\'m trying to establish how much its all going to cost as I will need to get the wiring done, as im not confident with electrics.
  12. I currently looking into a single swap, I understand the mechanical part... its the ecu that confuses me, Does anyone know what ecu\'s are compatible for this swap.. or will i need to go down the trail of getting a link because that seems very expensive.
  13. Thanks for the help, Im just going to start replacing things , getting the cats chopped next week then I\'ll chuck a new waste gate and B.O.V on it and see from there.. I guess if that doesnt work ill pull the turbos off to have a look. I\'m pretty keen on the idea of going single turbo, but thats a bit further down the track.
  14. It goes pretty well but you really feel any extra weight like gets very slow with more than 2 people... I was just wondering about the actuator being a bit stuffed and maybe not closing the gate properly??, reckon it would do that ? .. This is starting to sound serious ...luckily i got the car for a good deal.. oh yeah its done around 150k so not super high.
  15. engine light comes on on start up, tested my gauge on my mates car, reads the same as his, when i free boosted just dissconected 23 directly at the actuator
  16. its totally factory besides, exhaust tip is in pretty good nick besides the old cosmetic paint chip etc, mbc was on line 23, pretty sure its not in limp mode no engine lights on, airfilter looks good , its manual. still has its cats, but im not sure if its blocked only had the car two weeks.
  17. Okay so im getting 7psi on primary and 10psi on second.. tried a MBC didnt work. Put it back to factory. but today I got curious and disconnected the waste gate actuator and my levels didnt change? could I have a faulty actuator or is there something wrong with me turbos?
