  1. Yeah mate .. giving up the ghost and trading it for a nice ugly cvt \'05 Nissan. ... the cvt didn\'t seem bad.
  2. Thanks for all the replies guys, Spend half a day trying to wriggle that coat hanger through that gap. no luck. WD40 was used instead, no luck. Probably will get a locksmith to look at it. The car has caused me more trouble than its worth over the past two years (some inherent issues, most my negligence ) A car dealer told me he\'d take it as it is for $1500 towards another car. What do you guys think?
  3. I have double checked with my dad, whom was drivign the car while I was away, and he mentioned that he has unlocked the door using the keys in the past. SO what would cause the locks to freeze up?
  4. Hey mate, thanks for the reply. I would think that is a probable thing or the locks have frozen. I do have an aftermarket alarm, which isn\'t a well known brand though. I have checked, and the armed indicator lamp is totally dead too. Is there a jimmy method that can unlock the doors?
  5. Hi guys, my BH5 after about 2 months of sitting quiet, has a dead battery. I cannot even unlock the car at any door using the key. ??? What are my options short of me breaking the window?

  10. .... oh checked the site out... silicone lubrication..... that would be more than sufficient.... i reckon after each 15 minute run, they need to reoil...
  11. ^ i gather that would need actual hard wearing bearings.... does LEGO make metal parts? .... ( i know meccano can slot into some LEGO quite well...)
  12. ^ Aye sir! will keep that in mind ( i was thinking of buying abt 6 meters of vacuum line, and cutting them one by one fitting them individually)... also i have a funny feeling that i have a missing restrictor pill.... because in one of the places where a dot of paint was, there was nothing... it could be a drop of stray paint but , will keep this updated the coming weekend.. will see if i can scrape some time...
  13. http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,4206.msg55258.html#msg55258 does it have the locations of the pills? ... or are they usually marked with paint dots...
  14. ^ ^ and ^ AWESOME!!! THANK YOU BOTH!!! ( you win cookies and cream from your local Tatua Dairy Co-op)( but i suppose i shouldn't crack the Champagne bottle open.... I'll replace all the tubes first..) Supercheap's $5/m is ok to use?
  15. well... that i can do... It will be the cheapest "fix" i can think of... can CEL 66 come on because of leaks in the system?
  16. Thanks for your input anyhow, mate. The slightest leak in the vac system can screw the entire turbo set up eh?
  17. the two vac lines to the bov ( the 4mm tubes) the two pressure's should be equal aye? not the HUGE DUMP TUBE back to the intake... ( if i am not mistaken... that shouldn't even be open at the rpm's i am doing)
  18. car is 10 yrs old and have 180k kays on it... I suspect the vacuum tubes are perishing... because they are quite hard.... and the BOV/bypass valve on the inter-cooler.... should it have equal vacuum pressure on both ends of the tube or one should have a positive pressure ? The primary blows... but it is low-ish ... 5 psi on the boost gauge... ( but that still has the clear vacuum line... and the t connector for some reason is 6mm ... bigger than the vac tube's inner diameter of 4mm.. ( i have no idea how much that would affect readings..
  19. in other words.... if i am driving the vehicle "sanely" ... keeping revs around 2-2.5k rpm... i won't have much boost?
  20. ok.. hooked up a boost gauge... but when it idles it is @ 20mm Hg... is that normal? ... and then.... when i am accelerating... at 2000rpm... it barely hits 5 psi...
  21. ....i pray it is the vac lines ( a bloody maze of them) ... :'( ... will get on to it then... a pro would kill me in fees... will have to do it some how... anyone in hammy willing to help out ?
