    Doesn't make any difference power figure wise. With the stock twin turbo system it could be a bit a of a waste, but would always allow for more potential later with single turbo. As an aftermarket computer (with a good tune) usually gives the best gains (safely) for your money.

    This is a twin turbo in aus that got 223kw on standards motor and turbos I believe. Did have a few little things done to it. Can't remember where the thread on it was. You could possibly see ~200kw.

    G4 could be a nice combo with a zerosports controller as otherwise I don't think tuning the sequential twin turbo system is possible without the controller. Would recommend having full exhaust off the turbos 2.5"ish and split fuel setup, maybe a walbro fuel pump aswell, before looking at getting it tuned. Gains could be minimal but should a bit faster, better economy, nicer to drive etc. Was the 170kw figure you got from a dyno?
  8. Just had a look when I was passing by, it was imported with all the bits already on it. The engine cover has S401 on it 184/400 i'm pretty sure, has a good ol sti badge on the back and also another s401 little badge by the gear shifter. My guess is someone in japan crashed an s401 and some of the parts went into this car. Possibly engine ecu etc. AFAIK it not a s400 never heard of them personally either. Pretty much all the cars there had crowesport across the front windscreen.

  10. That car has what looks like the s401 engine cover and runs the same afm as the s401 and also the 6 speed like the s401, but is definitely not an s401, but definately pertty cool with the 6 speed though. Also has non-brembo 4 pot fronts and a nice aftermarket front kit.

  12. I'll be using a v3 sti box for now, 6 speed is a definite later on. But 5 speeds are cheap and will be fine as long as I drive it nicely. Not going to bother with water/meth should have enough safety and worst case I'll just have a bit less power but there should still be plenty. (real worstcase is rebuild time ;D)

  14. I was running a td05h on ~14psi with yellows at ~85% duty cycle. It could light up all 4 in the dry on pirelli pzero rosso's at pretty low rpm. ~3500. Ran a possumlink. It is getting a big change... g4 xtreme, 8 injectors in dual stage sequential, full 3" exhaust, 44mm wastegate, flipped v7 manifold, FMIC, 'large' turbo, walbro, permanent wideband O2 install and lots of custom crap. Can't remember what CR it was i think ~ 8.2-5 :1 Going to push it reasonably hard on the stock pistons, but have lots of safety built in ie g4 xtreme with dual knock sensors, a/f ratio and a few gauges to keep an eye on things. Hoping to get 260-300atw, will have to see how it goes when I tune it, will tune pretty hard then pull it back to keep it safe. Won't know until a dyno day what sort of power it will be putting out though. Hoping to get at least a year out of it until it blows and I forge it and wind the boost.
  15. I got a ej257 in mine using 99 gtb heads, similar to v5/v6. Using a 1.6mm headgasket from memory. All standard internals, been going fine for a year but is off the road for upgrades atm.
  16. I think you'll find he's talking about blue top feeds rather than blue side feeds.
  17. I used parallel exhaust headers (syms) and a v5 sti ecu (although after some investigations done by someone on here a possumlink would be best otherwise compression ratio issues arise) it's very similarly setup to single turbo but uses the two little vf26/27 or similar.
  18. The newer ones can come with a 6 speed ~2006/7 on.

  21. You also need to be careful putting 35% on the drivers and passengers windows because of the factory tint (mine was a light green tint) i got a fine in good ol chch for having 28% tints on the front. They tested the factory tints as well ~12% ;D
