I had some time on my hands so I went to the trouble of relocating mine. There was a noticeable difference in boost response the boost came on earlier and hit a little harder. I couldn't find any pics of one relocated so i spent a bit of time trying to figure out where I could mount it. I ended up striping the primary boost solenoid off its bracket and mounting it directly to the strut tower. Obviously a lot easier to get a boost tap. But I was curious so i did it. The hardest part as Ross said was extending the loom.
