  4. Nah, the Subaru is magic. Drives on grass, sprays dry dust everywhere. Codriver: "this isn't on the fucking pacenotes"
  5. Read about the VBOX. NZ Autocar swears by it.
  6. My car came out of the factory with 73 raging horses of pushrod valve actuated power. That was in 1982. Now it's realistically putting out about 2/3rds of that max. Have never timed my 0-100 but would be looking at around 13-15 seconds probably. Maybe a slight chirp of one of the front tyres would result under hard acceleration but I have never felt the urge to unleash the EA81, it's a sleeper that never wakes up ;D
  7. SILVIA Knew a guy who had his make and model on his Silvia's cert plate read Nissan Sylvia... cringe Sorry for your mate's loss though. Must be devastating. But I agree with subiv5, if you drive a car that is high performance/very likely to get stolen/people want it, then you've got to have insurance so that you at least recuperate some of the capital you sunk into the vehicle. That way you won't be left high and dry if it does get stolen. Granted, some younger drivers of said high performance cars will find it difficult/impossible to insure such cars. if that's the case, try one of the other insurance companies (NAC, club auto etc. I Have no experience with either of these but others may have and can tell you the pros cons etc). Otherwise, if you can't get insurance for it, then don't buy the car. Or you could just risk it with no insurance. But yeah, not trying to be condescending, just hate hearing about cars with no insurance being stolen.
  8. Years ago??? I guess I've been living under a rock for longer than I thought
  9. welcome to last century Staples Label Vol. 3 back when he was on ZM I love how ppl think its a good idea to post duplicates on Youtube.... waste of cloud-server space :Þ right next to it on related video's is the same thing! Oh really? I only heard it this morning on the radio. Sorry about the repost, I'm not much of an internet video watcher so I really have no idea what is old or new
  10. Subaru 'inspired' remake of Liam Lynch's United States of Whatever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIUT_qS6KH0 "daddy got lots of money, buy me another car, whatever"
  11. I think it was Shale who called my car "the brown thing" jokingly at the last Auckland meet. turned my face from this: to this: ;D Otherwise my car is nameless

  13. Ian_killa: That would be great if you could bring the issue to the next meet. I'll try and track down a copy myself beforehand though to save you the hassle. I thought ClubSub was just about WRXs and Legacys :-\ but It's not so thats great ;D (nothing against WRXs and Legacys, just that I don't own either). I never would have joined if you hadn't told me that old subarus were welcome too so thanks.
  14. Does anyone have a picture of the car that was in the magazine? I'd love to see it, especially as I have an 1800 GLF coupe myself
