Hi, My stock Kenwood GX-204JE headunit has decided to go; it's currently outputting sound, responding to controls etc, but not working with my Aux/CDs which I primarily use, I've replaced it with an OEM Mcintosh PF-41131, which powers up just fine, does the CD shuffling during first power on to check how many discs are in, and the controls work just fine (vol, tune, switch mode), however it doesn't output any sound whatsoever, doesn't respond to the steering wheel controls, nor does it appear to tune to any stations - scanning doesn't stop, and manually tuning in does nothing. From the back, they both have the same pins and connectors, I'm connecting both the antenna and the power/controls which have the same connection type. I'm not sure if anything further is needed such as configuration or some how initialising it? Not seeing anything online. As far as I am aware this is an unused head unit.

Legacy's throwign up a check engine light and a "No unreasonable/hard driving -- go to a car-dealer" error. the CEL is thrown up at random (weeks in between with nothing) and comes and goes as quick as it appears. Hoping I can get the error through an OBD (even without the CEL?) or someone to have a look. Don't mind doing a bit of a drive, but ideally would like to know how much it's going to cost just for a look also. Also -- any suggestions for someone who can do a decent service / oil change?

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, but just not sure value-wise, would I get more for my buck if I threw a new engine in it or is it best to call it quits and just buy another wagon from 92-98? End of the day I need a wagon.

Hi, I've got a 95 250T wagon that's had the bearing go, it's reg is almost expired and I'm trying to figure out what the best cause of action is to do; scrap it or find a new/used engine and someone to install, just over 200k on it.
