V10 looks better for the few first times, but if you see it everyday, the shape of V8/V9 is better imo.Only get V10 STi if you can find the JDM one, otherwise go for V9, then V8. So in order: V10 JDM > V9 > V8 > V10 NZDM

Damn, it was quick man. Know that new spot but going to Welly this weekend so im gonna skip this one then
-
Old spot: Rock Isle Rd, Torbay
New spot: quite easy but nice to come again

Is there a big different when I get lightweight wheel? Just found a set that cost me about 1k for it but I'm wondering is it worth or should I save money for other mods? To be specific, the difference will be around 2 ~ 2.5kg

Found that place but raining today so maybe I gonna come back in the next few days then

have heard of this issue in the v8 sti, seen it first hand.
only thing that sorted the issue I saw was regularly running the tank down to empty. like, empty empty. then filling it right up. 2 or 3 cycles seemed to have sorted the issue, sorted it for a few months then it'd come back.
nothing in the ecu that can change it, I looked LOL
not exactly helpful, but that's what I've seen and done to fix.
Yeah, did it before and have to call AA to fill up my tank, lol.
Depend on how you drive it imo. If i go highway after fill up, it will be about 70 ~ 100 km before the needle start going down, but if I got stuck in traffic jam or city traffic then after 40 ~ 50 km, the needle start to drop. Anw, it wouldn't bother me much, I just bother how many km i can go for the full tank, well not technically full tank but from full point to empty point on the fuel gauge.
Usually when the needle come to empty line, I fill it up and it only take 45l while the manual said 60l but I don't care much about that

Only difference is in the speedo accuracy
There are calculators online to tell you exactly how much different
Re the colour scheme, have you heard of paint
The speedo accuracy is fine for me but I'm worry about the grip then, 215 should be less grip than 225 but I don't know if it is a big difference or not.g
Yeah I thought he/she might repaint it but I assume for this type of car, the owner took the konig black/red wheel. If I was that guy, I wouldn't bother to paint rim/stripe with different color, just paint the whole wheel to white imo.
But if you guys can't find any wheel look similar to it so I assume it should be the Konig then
-
Pretty sure those are Advan rims (or a copy from Rota - they seem to be copying every single Japanese rim)
After a zoom at it I notice it is white wheel with blue stripe.
I thought it is Advan RG but found out the advan rg only has 6 spokes. Then the closest one I can found is Konig Forward, but the konig one only come in White with Pink stripe or Black with red stripe so I have no idea what is that now
Another question:
My WRX has 17x7.5 wheel, the ideal tire would be 225/45/17 but I found some good used 215/45/17 tires on trademe. Is there any effect except the different in speedo if I put those 215 on my wheel? If I use the 215, the tire height would be about 24.6'', 0.4'' different from the stock height

Anyone have info about this rims? Thanks

Can't believe you don't have bronze as an option. Probably the next most common colour after gold.
Sorry my bad, totally forgot about bronze when I made this thread.
I got white but it's easy to get dirty . Sti came with gold as original so it's too mainstream for me, maybe I'm gonna put gunmetal or black wheel on my future plan then

As per title, which wheel color is the best to place on a blue WRX/STI. Just your opinions so no wrong or right here
-
Definitely V8 after I saw the interior. Thanks guys
-
about the wheel offset, as I know my current v8 WRX stock offset is +53. The previous owner change the wheel to 17x7.5 (info from LVV), I don't know the offset of this wheel but I want to change to a black wheel so what offset should I get as 17x7.5? After a few searching, they said the minimum should be +48 but some guys said it would be ok to get +40 offset so what offset should I looking for??
-
Put up some pictures of the outside, and interior and we will tell you?
V9 sti has different stud pattern for wheels.., whats yours? (V8 is 5x100)
v9 has small factory flares over back wheel arches
V9 also has different interior to v8's (v9 actually has v10 interior)
Thanks mate, after search some pic for v8 + v9 and pay attention to the back wheel arches now I'm pretty sure that my car is v8. My car also has 5x100.
So all the front part should be the same for v8, v9, only differences in the back panel aye? I'm going to get some front spoiler/lip then

Hi, I just got a 04 WRX so I'm new here. After some searching, I got a few question that make me confusing, one of that is how to know what is the version of my WRX?
As I know till now, v7 is the bugeye, v8 is blobeye, v9 is hawkeye, v10 is stinkeye. But I saw some V9 WRX but it is a blobeye so I'm wondering is there anyway to find out the exactly version of the WRX or STI??
-
Hey mate, I got lucky and found it on trademe. You can order them brand new from Japanparts.com but I think they're pretty expensive ($1000+). I have the part number so if you want it just let me know
Yeah if you can give me the part number it would be great. I just got a 04 WRX and looking to get a lip for it. Your one look nice btw
