  1. Side two.............Will be welcomed......Where for art thou?
  2. OK ......Caught out again.....Re phrase........Correctly tuned ECU controlled engines on unleaded SHOULD not need UEC crap spraying through them. By the way ...Our fuel is cleaner than the American stuff. Biggest cause of "crap" in the intake is the breathers.........So dump the waste!........Instead of recycling it! (Thats another story)
  3. LMAO!.......Call the cops mate..........No amount of caps lock from me will assist.....DAMN IT.! And i have to say........When you have it sorted Name n Shame the ***t. Obviously you need to be careful about that though! Peeps like this really get my back up too! They are absolute Bas****rds. Buisnesses dont do "cash" deals if they are reputable...Always get a written receipt and warranty from the builder. Lesson for us all i guess. Court action should gain forward momentum............Involving the cops and reporting it stolen certainly will.
  4. lol......yes im sure that will work...............Back on track....Why even use the crap?....It is not needed with unleaded fuels and ECU tuned motors.
  5. The above indicated injection point for upper cylinder cleaner is a waste of time and product as only one cylinder will get dosed. Anybody that disagrees with this ......................HAS absolutly no idea what they are talking about..... Best place.............AS already stated by myself is ...........PRE THROTTLE....(end)
  6. Always up for humour!........Its a fact.......When boxing gloves were introduced......Boxers got killed and fights lasted longer. Prior to that in bare knuckle days..................... fights were until the opponent gave up,...... Death was very rare. Mr Loner......As you are 6 years old............Be assured i would not pick on you....with or without gloves. However i will take you down when you are wrong about what you say!.....Quick smart everytime. Just as others crap on into me! Personally I dont Give two hooots what others think/say/do...........Just get it right if you comment!
  7. Brake booster hose is after throttle YA DORK Breathers are before throttle.................ALSO if you dose through brake booster hose..........IT will only dose one cylinder..........AND as suggested will probably hydralic the motor too! The hose you suggest is also NOT ok! Hey dude, how about you save the insults for when we meet face to face... Also, read my post, I said the brake booster was a bad idea... and the other point is fine... OH OOps! sorry about the brake boost comment.................BUT you are still WRONG.........The place you suggest is NO good either. ANY time YA like ..............Gloves off or on.................Gloves on make it easier to kill.................Thats a fact.! I just dont suffer fools..................And idiot comments just wind me up. AND you did suggest using the brake boost hose in your first post on this topic...........BUT changed your mind to an equally stupid location.
  8. Brake booster hose is after throttle YA DORK Breathers are before throttle.................ALSO if you dose through brake booster hose..........IT will only dose one cylinder..........AND as suggested will probably hydralic the motor too! The hose you suggest is also NOT ok!
  9. Yes i suppose the above is relevent.......It does eliminate the BOV noise and also maintains turbo speed. That is the aim..........Maintain turbo speed/spool and get rid of the BOV. This can be done and i believe it is an excellent idea. Even Automatics need to maintain turbo speed to prevent stall/surge issues during throttle off.
  10. Where the breather returns to the plastic pipe pre throttle would be better...............Injecting into where suggested will only "dose" one cylinder. Why are you doing this anyway?
  11. Lol...Even F1 are Auto after all A........Like your humour dude!
  12. Now when you do take your sleeper to the track......It sure attracts attention!....Coz it sounds like it should not...........When in actual fact it Does GO like crazy!
  13. Thanks for that...........Kind of two reasons for me.....No1 being less lag investigation.......and i have a personal hate of that bloody noise! Just thought the title would invite more to have a look/comment..........Guess that worked!
  14. So it would suit the ultimate driver then? To Quote Jackie Stewart "The only way to drive a race car is FLAT to the floor.....Either on the brake or the throttle!" Yes its hard to see true benefit.........Worth discussion to think about though all the same.
  15. 1/ Yes ICV needs the heat to close off as engine warms. 2/ Not that I know of personally 3/ Would not block off Crankcase breather.......Subarus have enough issues with blowing oil out of the rocker cover breathers without further assisting it. Infact later models have two crankcase breathers. Ok to block PCV but you need to dump the blow by gases somewhere........Exhaust or can. 4/ It will start up ok....and run rich. 5/Aftermarket Fpr.....Higher pressure and lower injector combo, is far better than high flow injectors with low pressure........ Better atomisation of fuel at higher pressure. Hope that assists!
  16. Thank you MARKY.... Couldnt find it myself via google but had heard of it. Seems the rally boys have been there done that with reasonable success. (Peugeot) I am aware that BOV can be eliminated in other ways too...Tune wise with partial open throttle as part of antilag setup. I was just interested to know if it maybe another way of reducing lag. However as pointed out, The pitfall could be sucking the compressor wheel seals insideout! Although i believe the relativly short post turbo route on our subarus could provide a good result if fitted and made reliable. Best of all...........No BOV noise......Perfect for the sleeper style car! AS FOR THIS COMMENT BELOW....WTF! blow off valves are cool throttles use lots of gas . get rid of the throttle bro and the turbo . just blow the exhaust straight into the motor . might need 2 intercoolers . or a soopercooler ps your thread title couldnt be more misguiding if you tried . Mr Lachlan...........The above is a typical example of your lower mentality!.....Grow up!
  17. Install the throttle butterfly as a Pre turbo throttle. Would it work? and therefore eliminate the need for a BOV? Just thinking off the board (as usual!) My thinking is that full vac would be achieved from the turbo inlet to the intake valves when you get off the throttle, this will also allow the turbo to "free" spool in a vacuum and maybe decrease lag despite having to "refill" the intake system when WOT is reapplied. Further as the pressure will be reduced through the intercooler (less air volume present) the cooling effect may also be enhanced during lower pressure times.......i.e partial throttle and closed throttle. Of course there would be no need for a BOV either......No whoosh fissshh! Ya!! Ok thoughts and critics........Go for it!!
  18. If you replace valve guides you should re machine seats prior to finish lapping......Well a craftsman would! 2 hours to fully reco an 8 valve 2 cylinder head is not long enough!......Just a rough rush job will be done. Remember the heads are probably THEE most important "bit" when it comes to engine power/efficency
  19. Head gasket job price between $1500 to $2000 is reasonable....... From pulling engine out to customer driving away....... Really depends on level of head work done. Yes a reasonable second hand motor is always an option.......But head gasket condition, cambelt, water pump etc could be suspect...................Hard to know what is best sometimes.........Comes down to customer budget and decision. Engine swap? Cost? $500 to $700.....Again depends on what is required......If you do the head gasket job it will obviously cost more,.......However when done you know its all good!........ belt, pulleys, pump etc All nice n new!
  20. LOL..........Thorpy............Well done........Yes that\'s what it costs alright! Mr hijacka.......2 hours to re guide and relap valves?...thats all 16?....NO way!.....Rush job that will be low on quality for sure!.....Certainly wont be done by a craftsman!....4 hours per head done correctly with care including pressure test.
  21. With splitting the block and doing a "proper" job this is a pretty good guide. Just heads? Around $2K should cover it V/V grind included in head work. Of course that would include removal and refit of engine, fluids etc.
  22. Have to agree..................Its just mr Pee head likes to taunt me.......Cant say ive seen this car doing any winning!
  23. Honesty is always respected. You have achieved well............Now to sell! Good luck........Lot to be said for the KISS principle in engineering. :-*
