  1. Yes it was. But hopefully its worth it
  2. Ok so first up thanks for all your thoughts and opinions. I have just put a deposit down on a 1990 Legacy Rs Ra Can\'t wait
  3. ok so two weeks till I get the car. looking at getting an AA check done on it any suggestions around this or is there somewhere I should get the car to to get it checked.
  4. Ok so at the moment that wagon is top of my list. Definatly decided i am getting a legacy. Bc or fb dont like the newer ones
  5. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=696257365 this seems more like it. what are the wagons like weight and handling wise compared to the sedans? will my GC8 adjusties still fit
  6. Can\'t find the history on the jdm ? Link
  7. I agree the 2k bc with something wrong is the go but he won\'t respond
  8. so 1 month out till I can buy a car. these two are on the top of my list (assuming their both there) both IMO seem a little over priced thoughts. GC = http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=673825983 BC = http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=696217414 now I know the wrx will be faster but you cant get away from how good that old legacy looks in black. remembering I will be adding a tracked alarm sounds (by Sound Q) and my gold 18x8.5 Rota g force (on the wrx I would probably plastidip them black - thoughts on this too) and my OZ racing Adjustable suspension. The wheels on either car are not important and will probably be sold. also I am NOT building a track car this is for weekend cruising and road trips. Fuel economy need not apply. If you see anything I have missed sing out. budget for the car is about 9K but I want to get the above mods in that figure. ish
  9. Ginganinja have i meet you ? Sounds familiar
  10. Ok so I\'m keeping an eye out for a sti in good nick, will be ready to buy in about 5 weeks time. Not fussed if wagon sedan or coupe. Must be tidy If you know of or hear of anything let me know. I will be hunting trademe so if its on there i have probably seen it. Looking to spend about 7k a Max
  11. Ok so for similar money looks like a 1999 wrx is the go. Will keep you posted thanks for your input
  12. found that one for sale by marc. looks pretty good for 2k but not going could be a worry.
  13. this one has appeal for how standard it is. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/subaru/legacy/auction-692778218.htm
  14. Ok this hasnt helped at all. I have my adjusties and 18s so the more you are talking the more im looking at a bc Thoughts on this. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=692018612 I would put my suspension in my wheels my V10 sti seats. And be a good cruiser
  15. yes glad you guys had some fun with it. (trolls need not apply) I like the lines of the BC and have really enjoyed owning the one I had. Generally what I can get is the better money is on a GC (I did state V3-V4 Sti) so are the RA\'s (wrx) that much more fun to drive? there is still one BC Type R on TM at the mo for 9K a little more than I want to spend but they look so tough.
  16. Hi Guys have just sold my BC Fwd Ej20 (twin cam) kept my Adjustable Oz Racing suspension and my 18x8.5 Rota G force. im looking for something a bit faster (not daily driven anymore) I do lots of road trips not a track machine. love finding a back road and feeling the limits of the car. I loke the look of the BC especially the idea of the type ra. what are opinions on that vs a say V3 or V4 sti GC or perhaps an STi Ra. please back up your opinions with a reason.
  17. I have oz racing in my bc. They\'re very good value for a street car
  18. sorry its a bc legacy. doesn\'t have electric seats will need to fabricate something has anyone had good experience with someone that can do this kind of work and make it look oem
  19. As above I have WRX version 11 seats that I would like to fit in my BG 1992 legacy. I have been told you can not just unbolt the rails can anyone confirm the best method to fit these.
  20. This was a great day. torrential rain but still 50 brave drivers still turned up. nic and the team did well that every (re Group) stop had shelter most even had beer *Hmmm Beer. An R34 VSpec II decided to back off the road into a tree and nic got a flat tyre but that only added to the excitement of the day. Was great to take the Subi for it's first road trip Can't wait for the next one. If you didn't make this one keep an eye on these events they are well organised and sure to grow and such great value. Cheers Nic ps I want a turbo
  21. drove one with a 1uz in it. full camper bed in the back and rolling on 20's 3rd gear up a hill stabbed it from abut 1200 rpm and it sung the whole way up the hill. was an awd one as well very very cool van. owner said it was dodgy driving a van that could drive to 200 kph
