Sorry to hear
Hope you're all alright though? -

Swapped the bonnets over on the two RS's so now the RA has a matching white bonnet!
Also swapped the power steering racks on the RA as the rack end seal was pretty screwed:
Shame it's now leaking from the line fittings

Going to this Sunday. Got a mate in his B4 coming too. I'll take my boys with me man's day out.
I"ll hopefully be heading there in the RA, pending I fix the power steering in time

Was just thinking if you're wanting to do something for 50 years of boxer, we could probably source a short block to throw on an engine stand, but unsure if that's too much?

Yup we're around!
I know of 4 or 5+ that go on those with Subies, and a few others, not many of them are on here though

That is kind of handy, but there might have been a whole page of replies before the one you just selected. Seeing that a thread had updated content, and having a single link to take you to the earliest unread post in that thread was really handy!
It's still there, click on the star or ball to the left of the thread name.

Oh that really sucks I'm sorry to hear that they've given up.

Ahh, didn't pick that one up, thanks!

In the old forum, the links from the unread results took you to the first unread post in the thread. Is there a way to do that still? Tapping the result entry seems to take me to the start of the thread.
Yeah this is what I liked, keen to find a similar function.

Picked up another RS on the weekend as a project car.
Put the GX in for a WOF yesterday and it failed on the front shock knocking slightly....
-
I'm the someone else, and I do need a tune, but won't be able to afford it this month, sadly. Maybe next time...

Because of this thread I have been given some Bridgestone merchandise to giveaway for the club from head office, who should I talk to about distributing it out?
That's awesome
On my Mitsi I have a set of Nitto Invos.
Both legacy's currently have crappy tyres (what was on when I purchased), but have been thinking a set of RE003s will fit nicely once these wear out.

A DOHC turbo engine out of an automatic subaru with ABS.
Most likely an EJ20 of some kind
My guess is a GC8 WRX EJ20G

The worst part is the headlights...

I'll give it a go, if you're still looking for people.

Haha not like its some intensely hard project. Pull covers off, remove old bulbs, chuck them as far as you can, install new ones, enjoy some LED crispness and hope like hell they last
And na, got them from the retrofitsource. Decided it'd be worth trying out the ptions from some well known brands.
Those UltimateLeds ones look alot like the ebay/cheap nasty ones i've had before. Got some from HKS180 on Liberty.asn.au which crapped out real fast too, non branded ones so probably cheap crap too.
Got my HIDs for my Mitsi from them, have had 0 issues for the last few years, great company to deal with though.

Ouch at spinning it!
My videos from this weekend, didn't want to push it too hard as I didn't have the confidence to not write the car off

yeah secondary air pump, ours continually got blocked, they cleaned it completely, but then it just blocked a day or so later.

Ah really EGR issues....mate is going through this at the moment with his Mrs VW Golf...im guessing its pretty much the same thing where it has carbon build up issues?
It will be her daily so dont think she will mind if it feels a bit slow and has no DCCD
Yup, carbon buildup,
Car went into limp mode, so took it to the dealer that we bought it from, they cleaned it all out and sent us on our way, less than 100KM later, back into limp mode.
We ended up convincing them to buy us a tactrix cable and the blanking plates so we could get rid of it
-
Yeah they're paddle shift Tip.
I reckon they could do with a nice tune...
-
My parents have the same car, just a 2009, it's very nice, drives great.
The only issue we've had with it is the EGR system failed, so we've just disabled it and purchased the blanking plates to remove it from the car.
Apart from that, it's been great.
The auto shifts quite well, although it can feel a little slow every now and then, not sure if you can do the PAX upgrade like you can on the legacys? Haven't looked into it.
Although, sadly no DCCD
-
You know you want to get one... They're damn cheap at the moment!
