That's impressive for subi.. considering overseas (aus and states) push 36-43psi to make around that figure. What clutch and box you run30psi of boost

Hey guys been thinking long and hard weather to start something different. After years of playing with ejz I'm considering slowly starting on a h6 as I'm fascinated how they make so much power and torque on bugger all boost. Some guys make close to 1000hp atw on 24psi. Will be using for road/track/drags etc
Does anyone no the pros and cons between the eg and ez
Cheers

Nice @mitchlowe . Could properly cut .2 off your 60ft easy and more boost/power should see you into 9z

Aw yep how much power an boost yous run on that 10. What was your 60fts with thos slicks?
Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
You got lolgtrGoing for 9s you need a 6-point.
We're on the road to 9s as well, although as the car is still mainly street-based I decided that we're going to do a 5-point half cage to keep minimal bars in the car. If we get kicked out then I'll still be happy that we've run a 9.

Ok does that change again if we go lower than 10.00. As were going for the 9zIf you're not worried about getting it homologated for circuit racing and only want to do drags, you only need a 5 point half-cage. Good for up to 10.00 sec.
Seeing you're Auckland based (Meremere), NZDRA does not apply as they adhere to IHRA rules. Go to section 3.61 and you can see the diagram they provide.
http://www.meremeredragway.co.nz/files/MDI_Track_Rulebook_6AUG18.pdf
You will also need an SFI approved crank pulley, fixed back seat, harness bar and harnesses, shield plate over top of the transmission in case of flywheel exploding, drip tray underneath engine, etc. List goes on.
Worth talking to an IHRA tech inspector before you start.

Not sure what I require. If this helps the cars fully road legal an I use it couple times a week weather its cruise or short drives. I use for odd drags and track days like chrome flat nats etc etcDo you need a full cage or just the roll bar half cage?
if it’s a half cage you can just cert it via LVVTA.
Full cage requires licence and money

Cheers I'll check it outRay Chubb. He's built plenty of roll cages and does them to a very high standard.

Hey guys due to getting ban from the track I am in need of a rollcage. This is new to me and unsure what to do. Good shops to go to, cost, certs etc

I've done a back to back dyno with Mobil 98 an gf10 with a 14kw difference straight away

May get a little extra ponys too

My opinion. Force 10z the best an you can get around north island at any gull

Just from what I've been told. Peoples experiencesNot sure how you figure a twin plate is going to blow up the box when a single plate somehow isn't?
They're just a force transfer mechanism.

Not really. People said after 350kw no point having a 5speed but it's the 2nd one I've ever had in there which is doing fine.....until I put a twin plate in Haha hence reason I'm finding another option
isn't that a given with the power you are talking?

Tried to avoid that cause it will blow my box to peices hahaDon't stuff around, go twin plate.

So I've had an issue with my clutch as I'm pretty sure why(power) but I was seeing if there's a way around it without going twin plate (still run factory 5speed ty752vbcaa)so hopefully someone's experienced this an can help me out
So I got a custom clutch made 3600lbs pressure and a full face plate which was good to 400kw then slipped so I changed disc to a 6puk which was good to 450kw then slipped .. any suggestions on next step as I believe car has abit more potential. Heard competition clutch an extreme is good but just wanted to know if anyone has any ideas.
Thanks

Yep both those cars were doing 11.2z which is quick for a subi. Avi(white) v7/9 is a factory v7 both running semi slicks. 9z is a hard league to get into but gluck I've got same goal to!StrokedEJ definitely great to see some more subis out. I know the black wagon runs NOS. The Autech GDB is on a stock-motor which is almost unbelievable, trapping 133mph. Will see what some more tuning and the switch to E85 brings us - hopefully some low low 10s and/or high 9s

Nice. Good to see more an more quick subis out there mind you last nightwars I seen about 3 doing low 11z which is good to see

Yes redline ones dont compare to the nzkw ones. Nzkw headers are 10x better even when you hold them theres a significant weight difference being the nzkw ones are alot heavier meaning theres alot more materialYes this does help as i was comparing both and they look similar. Nzkwcertainly look heaps better than redline.Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Ive had alot of headers and these are by faar the best.

In my opinion there awesome headers ive only had mine on car for a couple months and there going fine. They flow 400kw+ no troubles and retain the subii rumble . Matter of fact sounds better than factory in my opinion. These are very similar too tomei headers as in welds and steel quality. Hope this helpsYer im wanting to stay unequal so i keep the rumble but i dont mind if it goes a little bit. But interested in what people have used and if it is worthwhile going aftermarket Only going to be running vf22.

Will Ej20 cams fit into ej25
in General Vehicle Discussion
Posted
Hi just trying to figure out a new setup. I currently I have ej25 with ej205 v5-6 heads(twin turbo heads) but wanting to change to ej25 heads. But really want to re use my cams as they were quite hard and expensive to get a hold of. So my question is will the cams fit into the ej25 head. (Unsure which one yet)
Cheers
