Because becoming a paid member doesn\'t really affect anything well it didn\'t for me. I looked at the paid member section on the day I paid and other than that it never seemed to have anything going on, and have since moved away so haven\'t bothered this year, and as far as Wellington goes its just been real quiet and same old same old, need to get more ideas flowing and more drives, other than last week the last cruise Wellington went on was during the rugby World Cup, so one every two years is a bit sad, there\'s my 50cents haha

not taking pot shots at anyone but ClubSubMum is listed as Wellington rep and as I understand it Debbie now lives in Christchurch?

Likewise Shale is the Auckland rep and she was last active in January.

If these areas are to thrive then we need someone to be the rep in the area who will drive it like Thorpy etc have done in Christchurch

Perhaps if we can get our local reps right the club can thrive in all areas?

    Re: paid/non paid memebers

The way I see it is that I dont benefit from being a non paid member personally.

In much the same boat as Marky.

the build quality gets better over time im sure right, but a 2005-7 car in ten years time with 200 on the clock wont be as tidy as one now with 200 on the clock right...

yup, I know exactly what you are saying but for me I the point still stands, I am old enough that I have driven 90\'s cars with 200kms on them in the early 2000\'s (a 10 year old car with 200kms) and I have driven a 2003 new shape legacy with 200,000kms last year, both cars were the same age but I just seem to remember the 90s car felt much more tired, then again that is only one example, anyway I don\'t want to argue with anyone on the net, its about as useful as monkeys throwing poo.

My point simply is more modern cars seem to be able to tolerate high kms better than their older counterparts.

I see your statement and raise you a humble starlet....the car that still runs the same after a billion shopping trips!!!

  3. Went in to Bush Inn yesterday and can confirm it doesnt sell 98 anymore.

Car has generally been running like shite, hesitation and power feels a bit down. Thought id change back to 98 before attempting upper engine cleaner, knock sensor replacement, )2 etc etc

Sure enough car feels a lot better.

Think its not quite right and needs some TLC but sure as hell a lot better.

  4. Did you run a 4 channel amp for your speakers Aim?

I would like to add a sub at same time to mine. Normally I\'d run rears off factory head unit and bridge for sub but this isn\'t possible with this kinda setup.

Don\'t want to go 5 channel amp as that means can\'t pick up one for nix

Am trying to jack up parts to do this with an old ipad when I get back.

I will put it vertically though as it fits the GTB "control panel surround" perfectly.

Will have to relocate heater controls but all G.

exactly like the MCM one? i want to do the same.. but i dunooo

    Yessir.

Exactly like that setup. Might actually get a mate to do it who does installs for a living

  7. Quality factory systems are good for a reason - the speakers and setup are tailored for the cabin volume etc.

First thing I\'d do is tinker with the Equaliser settings and see if you can perhaps bump up mid bass and treble to sort. If you can get two presets -one for kids time and one for cranking time - then this should be right.

Failing that even a cheapo amp should work wonders.

P.S having a sub doesn\'t mean you go around doof doofing it up. Have a look at a 10 inch sub as a more subtle solution
