Had our silver 1997 station wagon WRX stolen from the corner of Aro St and Owhiro st , Wellington. Registered stolen this morning. Were heartbroken as we have only had the car four weeks. If anyone can help me with any information as to how to track it down. Mobile number is 0212245559
Any distinguishing features? License plate?

What Jap cars even have an fb25?

I've had the same thing happen too!
One of the guys at VTNZ was even gonna call the cops, 'cos I had a "fake" spec plate that said "BES" instead of "BE5" like a normal B4 sedan.
You should have encouraged him to call them... what a tool.

A decent amount of power, but still a worse power to weight ratio than a GC8 STi.

The seals kits.
I meant what brand and price?

Flywheel/clutch pressure plate not balanced?

You already said it happens when the car isn't moving... check the engine mounts, transmission mount and pitch stopper.

They sure do. $66+gst per caliper
Not too bad. Wouldn't need doing very often... and brakes are right at the top of my priority list when it comes to maintenance.
What are you selling?
-
Subaru sell them.

Sinco are correct... just do what they say and move on.

I have been installing a hydraulic handbrake for the last couple of weeks... took a week and many attempts to bleed it... still doesn't work.
Very annoying. Either it still has air in the system though the foot brake feels completely normal... or I got the wrong size master cylinders,
too big. It's a twin cylinder unit in order to keep the diagonal redundancy.

A Subaru mechanics dream.
91 octane + heat soaked intercooler + heavy right foot = another dead Subaru motor...
I think the average Subaru mechanic would have better dreams than a basic rebuild of a retard's car who doesn't want to spend any money fixing it.

It's stamped on the bottom.

I don't think it's the firewall flex as the sponginess is present even when lightly pressing the brake pedal... and there is always quite a bit of
travel before it firms up. Compared to my BP5 pedal that is rock solid an practically no travel at all.
Could be related to the relative work done by mechanical leverage verses the booster?
-
Put the front bit back on... it takes cold air from a high pressure zone and feeds it intake the factory airbox. Pretty good system.

Just checked my spare and current 4 port master cylinders, and they are both 1 1/16 inch. Both v5/6 Type R.

The rear plastic C links are terrible for deforming and cracking. I have even seen one snap clean in half on a friends GF8. I would definitely go for an alloy replacement a la Whiteline or other.
The whiteline units are extremely expensive for what they are... but bnt have much cheaper versions... you just need to put better bushes in them from what I hear. And then the weak point becomes the arb mount.

I only think about finishing my car in terms of "finished for now until I have some more money".

what about methanol?
-
You can use any links that fit... the dog bone style might be a down grade though, because they have play.
Why are you changing them?
-
Pedal feel is hugely affected by the pads...give racebrakes a ring to discuss before changing the cylinder.
-
Maybe try some more aggressive pads?

That sounds very excessive.
