  1. This weekend my dash lights for both the battery and the handbrake were lit up on the dash (randomly). After awhile the speedo cluster started to flash in 3's. Orange ring around cluster then the speedo cluster then off altogether. This repeated in 3's for 4-5 mins while idling until the entire dash died. Eventually while driving from a car park the car lost power to the fuel pump so it wouldn't drive, it idled strangely... when I turned the car off it wouldn't start again. Dead as dead. The battery is fairly new. This wasn't a gradual thing it all happened in one day. My guess is the alternator isn't charging correctly but keen to see if anyone else has experienced this issue and has some ideas. (I've checked earth straps) I haven't tried to start on jumper leads yet incase it's potentially a bigger issue. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  2. I'm not entirely sure how to upload audio but I've created a link. https://s.amsu.ng/HHZnAaSDBzQN Please have a listen and see what you guys think. The clicking is very central. Gearbox area but behind the dash. So this is when it's in neutral coasting or in gear decelerating, also happens coasting in reverse. The gearbox doesn't crunch at all and shifts perfectly fine. 3. Lol yeah Cusco. Stupid predictive text. I'll give it a go tomorrow and update with the results. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  4. I have a Costco pitch mount. Surely a constant rattle isn't because of that? Everything else is in order btw. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  5. 5 speed e tune 2 (2002 bh5) Not sure of the code. My gearbox rattles (clicking like worn bearings in a housing). From research it could either be the center diff or the input shaft bearing. It rattles while in gear but decelerating and also while in neutral coasting - sounds like bearings in a housing spinning. It only happens when the car is moving and slows down as the car slows down. It's not metallic and it's not anything to do with the wheels or brakes as far as I'm aware. Keen to know what your thoughts might be or whether should just replace the gearbox? Cheers Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  6. Hmm, not to be jelly but... lots of wrx in there, no Bh5 or Be5 "cmon". Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  7. I had a similar issue in the past. Twas my fuel filter. Under low load at low revs the fuel wasn't passing through very well. I found if you thrash it there was no issue but 4th and 5th gear at 50km would shudder under load. Have you replaced yours in the past, every 80k-100,000k's is a good time to change them. 8. Random. That's a new listing. Cheers for the heads up. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  9. Keen beans. This is my confirmation. Add me to the list. $129 monitored. Plus free food. Unbeatable surely. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  10. I agree with A J. Free is a bit rough. (Even though it was communicated at some point) Although I wasn't involved at the mega met I understand how small business' market their "product". In this case it seems like they might have expected a lot of increased customer base from the affiliation. (I'd pick they wouldn't make that offer moving forward). Striking discounted group rates sounds like the best give and take approach. It can only get better as word of mouth increases for them. 2cents. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  11. Too be honest I was obviously zoned out when taking this. Having just done it I was full of f#@$s and and expletive words. Bh5 2002. Non indicator wing mirrors. The mirror mechanism is fine but the surround and glass is...as you see. Probably just need the whole mirror replaced. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  12. Hi fellas, Soo...stuffed me mirror. Anyone got one lying around? Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  13. Cool beans fellas!! Will wait and see then. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  14. Bugger. Auckland. Thanks for thought though man. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  15. Okay, so i'm hoping 'tha boys' might have options for me or a group of us. I'm wanting to run my Bh5 on a dyno to get an idea of what it's doing. The car doesn't need a tune, just the run. Most shops that have these facilities charge exorbitant fees. So the question is, does anyone know a place I should go within the community or whether there will be a meet and we can all have a run and pool some funds together etc. Ideas or info will be much appreciated. Cheers D
  16. This is still available. Free to whoever. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  17. Could be a stuffed waste gate spring. Possibly needs loosening and then tightening at the desired pressure. The spring inside might be buggered. I bet an electronic controller will fix this. If you've had a remap then the only reason boost will drop or fall will be a mechanical issue unless you have a split in a vacuum hose running towards the boost sensor.
  18. I don't believe they were a factory option. I may be wrong. As I understand it was a reasonably common aftermarket attachment to safely and easily monitor the turbo from over boosting. They click repeatedly and cut the boost if you go over your control settings. Good for longevity of the system I guess. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  19. Yep. First in first served. PM me so we can set up the pick up. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  20. Stray Defi unit. Got lost from it's pack of gauges. Needs to be re-homed. Black in colour, pleasant to deal with and reasonbly obedient. A couple of the switch inserts at the back have come out from a moneychanic ripping it from the donor car. It worked when I tested it. I only got it to diagnose my serial error issue with my defi gauge. My boost sensor was the issue not the unit. $25 for 3-17 day courier Auckland wide... may be additional charges for outside of Auckland. Probably best to collect and save me the hassle. North Shore. Birkenhead.
  21. Update on this. It was a boost sensor problem. I bought a new defi boost sensor and it fixed the issue. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  22. Hey man. Can't thank you enough for putting time aside to help me understand my cars tune. I feel more assured I won't break anything now. (Or yet) for the time being anyway. My moneychanic has had the gearbox out twice now. Once when he did the clutch about 20k k's ago and recently when he replaced the engine. The gearbox has had a lot of strain on it with the hks kit I guess. But surely he lubricated the bearings etc at the time of removal. Who knows. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  23. Hello, welcome. Thank you for being here. I've got a constant rattle through all the gears in my BH5, whether the clutch is in or out doesn't change anything. The clutch is not that old. It doesn't become more or less quiet with heat either. It also doesn't change over a period of time. Whether coasting in neutral or under load, at any speed there's what seems like either dry bearings rattling or something that's spinning which is loose etc you get the idea. From my research it seems it's to do with the bearings in the transmission. I searched videos and read forums diagnosing what relates to my problem specifically. The video link below is a YouTube video of a countershaft bearing which needs replacing and sounds exactly like what my problem is. Question. Does anyone know a guy of a guy who has the equipment to replace this for me. Or at least correctly diagnose my issue because I'm at a loss. Moneychanics are so F***ing expensive with this kind of thing because it's on charge up cost. It literally makes me want to throw the car in the rubbish (Figuratively speaking). I'm somewhat OCD so this really grinds my gears. Ha. Ha. Cheers guys. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
