  1. lololol yes the brakes are stock and are on the correct sides Pads have been in the for 2 trackdays 5000ks of driving so not new but still have a little left on them. No play in the Hub Bearings from what I know?
  2. Bled them with person in car, but rather than pumping brakes and releasing pressure while foot down I just opened valve and pumped brakes to push out air and fluid... could try the other way to see if it pushes any air out.
  3. Hey all, I'm finally at the end of this stage of the build and have driven the car home on the weekend, I have a V7 Spec C with Brembos Brakes aren't feeling the greatest and need some feedback as to what everyone thinks may be the issue. Problem: Brake Pedal feels soft and sinks almost to the floor when applying brakes, brakes still work though but not the greatest. Pedal is hard when engine is off, but returns to soft when engine is on. Possible Problems I can list: Air in the Brake Lines -- Have bled brakes (Brembos) inner and outer bleed nipples after i felt the soft pedal so this counts this out. Air Line to Booster is blocked --- this would cause the brakes to be hard though? Brake Booster is farked -- not sure of symptons of this as I have never had this happen before? Maybe ABS is causing issues -- ABS is not lit up on the dash though? Haven't tried stomping on the brakes to see if it's still working either. Any other ideas? Any help is appreciated Grego0o
  4. started tidying up the engine bay and fixing oil leaks, sooooooooo many pipes and so much loom - where to hide it all?! Need to sort out a braided line to fit the avsc bangos to replace the hardline and need some new Oil cap and overflow caps to get rid of the Red flakey paint ones!
  5. Couldn't he just get some 15mm spacers that a 5x100 ---> 5x114.3? Provided he has enough space to fit the wheels in the gaurds?
  6. *while hung over* you forgot to mention how was the booby bar last night? Ninja text!
  7. ITS BLINDS ME WITH ITS GREENNESS! just wait till the Brembos get done to match! should be nice n bright!
  8. out at the garage this morning seeing the progress on the car. Up pipe is all finished and 50mm wastegate has been mounted shoehorned in (makes the turbo look small!)- now the exhaust side of things will get fabricated! Also the 4" inake pipe arrived with the HKS Mushroom Filter to keep with the green theme, also ordered all black silicon joiners so it all works in! Ah not long to go now!
  9. Just my opinion but any increase in boost without modifying your ECU mapping is dodgey + most of the time it doesn't increase your power. Contact your local Performance Dyno Tuner and look to have your Stock ECU Remapped, this will be the safest way to increase power without having any issues with leaning out your fuel... Costs around 800 to 1250 usually I should know a thing or two about this topic as I'm on my 3rd engine due to things Leaning out. Greg
  10. now now jon play nice I'm trying to sell my $150 Helmet Size L wore it like 4 times but my head is too big. Greg $100 and the helmet is yours! Greg
  11. GEEZUS THATS GREEN! That's the reaction I was going for ;D
  12. Turbo test fitted! Sooo many more small things to be done before it can all go back together! :-[
  13. neeew turbo arrived. but i'm out of town so don't get to see it till Friday! Nom nom Gt3540
  14. finished up installing my Surge Tank and Bosch 044! Was a bit of stuffing round getting the right fittings but WR Twiggs in Lower Hutt were onto it and sorted it all for me. Now just to get the rest of the junk out of the boot and make space for the 40litre Fuel Cell for the E85!
  15. fitted up the new 600x200 intercooler! Shouldn't require too much bumper cutting to fit in. will have to wait till the engine goes back to and the new turbo is fitted up before I can set up the new piping.
  16. 2.5 Sti engines are not semi forged... I have proof as 2 of my pistons have holes in them! 2.0 is safer if your going to be beating it! Greg
  17. Yeah think it just prevents front flex up n down? but not 100% on that... probably just looks cool like my room bar!
  18. 2.0 is semi forged, 2.5 is not. Unless your keen to modify the 2.5 I'd stick to the 2.0.
  19. Got my Intake back from Grahame Powder Coating... Interesting!! ;D Also installed my Fender Braces (unsure as to whether these will even improve anything but meh will see how it feels when its going again) Almost finished up my Surge tank set up and completed the Batter in boot set up! Was a busy day, next weekend = Front Mount & Remounting Oil Cooler.
  20. Will take pics of mine once it's done and update if there were any issues!
  21. tidied up the Power and Earth Wiring Loom in the engine bay and relocated the battery to the boot! Still no engine though :'(
