Most of us have no power up top so imposing a lower rev limit will increase the chances of driving home afterwards..

I think that its ok to try different springs on different struts..
As long as you put the same springs on the same axles and don't mix extreme types of springs on the car..
There wouldn't be any after market springs available if it was dodgy..
