Or order a waterpump kit locally. Pump, gasket, thermostat and o-ring for NZ $99 plus gst.....
Yeah thought about that as I will end up paying twice that..
Genuine parts though..
Plus I get a kick out of buying and tracking and waiting and opening box..
And hoping it gets here before trump starts a noooclear war..

Most of the people are using Rangers, which for me I don't feel like paying the UTE tax (The are crazy expensive here) I just really Don't need the UTE part, can fit everything I would need for a track day inside an SUV/Wagon.
The thing is that you get the UTE tax back when you sell..It's not like you are throwing money away..

My suggestion would be to go to a race meeting and check out what other people are using for towing..
Ask around and go from there..

You can get a good sti for 8k?
Be lucky to find any thing "decent" under $10/12k these days..
However $8k would make the deposit on Rose City's V4 STI Coupe at $35k..

Get a v4 sti and facelift the front.
Why would anyone want to change a thing of such beauty..?
Leave it as the Subaru designers planned it..More value to be had in the long game..$$$$$$

Skipping offline could indicate a failing rear shock absorber..

Reversed scoops and raised bonnets can cause problems at scrutineering..

Gull says its ok..
Ethanol is good for cooling and anti knock..
But you will use more than straight petrol..

Find a steep hill..
Drive up in 4th gear..
At 3000rpm stamp on the gas..
This should tell you the condition of the clutch..

My choice would be the silver 3 litre..
Black cars are hard to live with unless you enjoy washing your car every weekend..

How about Nankang AR 1's..

Hey Conducks.. you have got the cash to splash and an obvious desire to drive fast ..
Have you ever had a shot on the track..
I am recommending you give it a go..
Karting is a great introduction to motorsport..
You will learn race craft, setup, organisation and have a real driving experience..
Then I would suggest a formula ford as the next step in your racing career..
I know its fun to blast around the streets in your hotrod but its not going to give you any personal growth..
Get out with a pack of other drivers giving it heaps and see how good you really are..
Doing crazy stuff on public roads isn't going to win you any prizes..
From my experience after spending a great day racing in a controlled environment the last thing you will do on the way home is bust the speed limit..
Do it properly man..
