will a wrx exhaust system direct bolt up to a bf5 single turbo legacy?

mates legacy is way to loud and trying to get it legal for its next wof

only skim read over this. have you considered thrust bearings gone? we had a sti wrx over wanaka way at my garage made the sound off a run bearing, ended up being thrust bearings gone. and if you can drag car over to lake hawea ill take the motor out 4 cash ;D

just done heads in a 250t 95 legacy i purchased for cheap.

new cambelt idlers tensioners, thermostat, rad cap

havnt changed water pump....

problem is starts going into the 3/4 area on the temp gauge

if i just cruzz it gets hoter

if i put my foot down it drops back to normal

has anyone had this problem before?

hopping its only waterpump i need to change

or have ppl had faulty water temp sensors before.

was going to buy some off these

same as auto socks but $200 cheaper.

these auto socks are big in Europe cause they get heaps off snow and all the roads are sealed.

ow and auto socks will only last/recommended for 500kms off driving. says on the packet

if its got the yellow injectors it should have the ej20r motor

find that on the model plate

yup in the same unit as the fuel pump

basically you pull the fuel pump out and change the filter.

ow and make sure you have not got a full tank

under half and you shouldnt get wet

easyest way to know when your car was imported or nz new will be to just look at ur rego ticket

it will have in small numbers **/**

10/99 means it was imported then.

and if ur cars a 95 its a import

ive got a ej25 motor out of a 250t and should be able to source some cheap gtb heads

has anyone done this conversion.

also planing to single turbo it to run in my rsb.

do i use the ej20t or ej25 headgaskets

however in my rsb i let her warm up for a minute then just plot along until the water temp is at normal

[Help with my 1998 gt legacy!!!!!!!!!!]

we had a wrx come into our work shop. was dropping a cylinder often. tryed everything electronic. end up being the shims in the exhaust and inlet cam on 1 side were mixed up. take the rocker cover off and get ya old feeler gauges out and turn the crank over and check your clearances between the shims and the cam. will post clearance specs tomorow

dont know if this is any help but any how...

we have a few scan tools at work

pluged the carman with the obII into a bh5 legacy (used the obII connector to subaru obII plug)

i could see the codes and current data but couldnt get into the abs part.

so ive got my vf26 i want to rebuild

does anyone know where i can get a rebuild kit from

have heard roumers that they dont do kits for these.

hoping that this is incorrect

also any advice to rebuilding it?

yea goes away when warm but still there when reved till 1200rpm.

mite look it somethings hitting and just vibrating. or could be a stuffed tensioner.
