  1. Ah, the same legacy as mine!! So it IS just me whose mode and fan speed button doesn't work. How many bulbs are behind there may I ask? is there anyway to stop it automatically going into a/c& full bore each time i press the windscreen button?(its kinda annoying/loud) there is 5 lights in behind there, someone done a walk though a while ago, get one out and take to a good auto sparky, dont worry about the holder, just get the bulb and replace using old holder, if you have trouble getting the bulbs let me know, i can get more for anyone that needs them. dont know if you can stop the aircon going flat out when you push the window button, but i do know if you hold down the out. temp button for 5 sec it stays on the out side temp..
  2. cleaned air flow sensor with some crc Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner, used nearly a whole can just getting it clean......but the difference was noticeable just at idle and reved up quicker and setteled down in the revs quicker then before to, will see how it goes on gas next, also changed the blubs in the aircon unit, which looked like this and now all lights look like this for $2.00 a bulb, harder to see but they all work and now have heaps of spare bulbs left over as well
  3. washed it after the dirty trip to Turoa and fixed the aerial that the wife broke on a tree at work. next is the aircon lights, manage to get some new bulbs to fix them with.
  4. my wife's and kids attempt at a snow man yesterday while up at Turoa number 3 car park...... he was high on v!!!!!
  5. get two bonnets, cut them to fit the car, then bog the shit out of them, smooth it all over, then take a fibre glass mould of it, then make your new bonnet, that way if you ever damage it, you have the moulds to repair it.
  6. thers a place in gisbrone and one in hams somewhere, cant think of their names but.
  7. the black one makes me just want to go out to the shed with a gas axe.................
  8. will be interesting to see where this ends up, and what it will end up looking like. hopefully that rear wing will change.
  9. some warranty's wont cover stuff already broken or stuffed on the car when it is sold/brought, be careful to read the fine print. as said car dealers are struggling with car sales, hard to find good stock and hard to find buyers, haggle the price, knock a couple grand off and see what happens.
  10. turbo on work ute blew the seals so had to pull off and drop off to lodge autos for them to rebuild, have to use the crappy petrol ute that has no radio in it
  11. when we got ours it was covered by drive right, had done both head gaskets cost us $200, only $100 per side, they also done front seals and as they had leaked all over the timing belt, that was replaced as well, cost us $100, also had all four bilsteins rebuilt, that cost us $100 per shock as well, only problem was it all happened at once, only thing is like what's been said, you cant modify your car and it must be serviced every 10000kms with out fail by an approved mechanic, shop around, dont be afraid to tell them you are getting other quotes, companys are fighting each other for business, so you may just pick up a really good deal.

another thing i got told about turbo timers is that they bring the ignition to the thief, making it even easier to steel ya car!

  17. painstakingly straightened all the bent fins on the top mount today.
  18. hit up the scrap metal yards and let them know what has happened, they have to take it some where. you may just get lucky, the cops will do this as well. lets them know that someone is keeping an eye out and you cant drop anything of these days with out photo id.
  19. fitted right hand side front inner guard and front bumper had to be remounted on the right hand side.
  20. ive seen these, believe the $75,000 (from memory) price tag wasnt i my wallet at the time
  21. BLAZD, it wasn't a river, it was a ford and is the only way to mangatutu hot springs, and was a bit of fun right up to the no brakes bit, JOKER, yeah it escaped me at the time but damage is repairable and nobody was hurt and yet another lesson learnt.
  22. drove to mangatutu hot springs, and done this on the way, ;D and then went to stop and broke this come out the brakes failed due to excess water on them, run over the edge of gravel that was raised at the side of the road, got stuck, wedge my way out by going backwards and forwards, managed to rip the underside of the right hand side stone cover, demounted the right hand side front bumper and take the paint of under the spot light, at least i didn't break the spot light as that one has only just been replaced after hitting a bunny rabbit.
