any one know if we got a CS sponsorship from these good chaps?

It's happening but Alex wants to get the workshop at 100% before anything official happens.

But as Jason said he will look after any Clubsub members.

    Highly recommended.

its fine when its nice smooth roads but just your usaully roads its okay , but then when its really shit raods with corners its anyoing , find it dangerous at some points

Sell your cheapass Teins and put some real suspension in there i.e. Proflex, Exe-tc or something like that. The good stuff makes potholed gravel roads feel like smooth ashphalt.

    I resent that comment.

when i wanted my tein's rebuilt it was going to cost an arm an a leg as they wanted to replace them with blisteins inserts it was going to be $1200 to rebuild two from SuspensionTech in auckland i was like i'll pass thanks.

    Autolign rebuild Teins.

    Worse case $350 per unit

not %100 true, i had one rebuilt for my brothers bh, it was around 420, and that was a non adjustable shaft type at trade.... they did say it was unsually expensive for some of the bits in it tho.

Put it down to being more charismatic ;)

When I was quoted in Wellington that was the price. Could be a model difference with mine being Super Streets that are one of three main models offered.

Ok slight change of plans. i am now looking at transfering all my bd5 gear into a 1992 gt and yes i will be doing the single turbo conversion during this process ;D. one problem i have with this is that my bd5 legacy setup seemed to be puting its main power to the front wheels which i didnt enjoy when driving and im not sure if thats the norm for 5MT rs legacys. any thoughts on this?

Early Legacy's are 50/50. 60/40 front to rear under power.

besides the boys in the group a days, in a way having rockers makes it easy to run big cams, i used to see some agressive stuff around for RS type heads

Likewise. Very nearly bought some Hollow Group A cams for mine, but that leads to engine management.

I'd swap to the solid lifter heads purely to get rid of the hydraulic lifters. Although I haven't had any dealings with the WRX/later Legacy ones, my early Legacy hydraulic lifters were the bane of my life the whole time they were in the car.

Nobody has ever tried to push number through early heads for that reason.

  7. My Rs type R had 50mm or 55mm lowered Whiteline springs with BOGE shocks that had the shafts pro shortened to captive the spring.

It was ridiculously low. When I went up in rim size I had clearance issues at all four corners. Lowering alone will not yield any handling benefit; quite the opposite.

From memory King lowered springs were 40mm and the Super lows were 50mm? Look into whether they will remain captive in the strut.

Some people can only drive one way, sideways. A damp track makes that easier, so

think it's possible for such a person to drive faster on a damp track. A wet track

on the other hand will probably be slower.

So a faster time with a driver suited to Dry tarmac?

Say a Tarmac specialist rally driver?

  9. You could try Bosch Motor sport leads, they will have something model specific for yours, better technology. I don't think anybody could quote a figure or tangible feeling from different leads unless one was stuffed.

I use Bosch Super Sports which are their standard leads. Available off the shelf at Super cheap with various lengths and plug ends.

You can get thicker custom leads made up, but only really needed if you have some sort of inadequacy in spark due to the lead thickness or in your pants.
