Been out all weekend trying to put some run in K's on the new car... At about 600km's now, and it's really loosening up nicely!
Arthurs Pass in the pouring rain on Saturday...

Looking good!
Another member, DacerX and myself were going to cruise up to Arthur's but the weather put us off.

Even though I have a V8, we may share a similar pump. I had an issue where my pump was noisey and would shudder a lot:
I found out this seal had perished. My fix was to put sealant around the top of the plug thing and bleed the system by going full lock side to side a few times.
Part number is either: 34439AE020 OR 34439FG000 - I'm not sure as I didn't end up ordering a new seal.

Few weeks ago now but me an a mate decided to put a external mic from the gopro down near the intake box.... captured so nice noises!!
With you Samco intake, do you not get any spool noise in cabin? With mine it's bloody loud on boost.

I'd be keen to see how this pod looks in the dash.

Purple AFM only suits the Version 3/4 WRX wagon and some model Legacies.
For a 1999 GF8, you should have an insert style AFM.

Sweet as cheers guys! My STI is fully stock so assuming it'll have the Viscous LSD? So run LSD diff oil 80W-90? Then 75W-90 Rated GL-5 gearoil for the trans and center diff? Is there any specifics as to mineral or synthetic with these oils? Which one the STi's prefer? First time ever dealing with oils and fluids at this part of the car, wasn't tempted to pay someone at all so might as well try it out myself and learn.
Also for plugs would NGK-SPO929111 Platinum be a good choice? Only got a Repco here in Queenstown but got a Trade account.
Just planning on doing full tune up today as i doubt anything been changed since 2011
Talk to Reuben at Repco, he will look after you

Engine Semi synthetic 10w40 sm
Gearbox mineral 75w90 gl5
Stock r160 viscous diff mineral 80w90 gl5 if fitted with plate lsd get an lsd oil.
Sums it up nicely.
BNT sell FCUHS 75w90 gearbox and 80w90 diff oil at a good price and I find it to be pretty good.
In my old V3 Wagon I ran Penrite 10W50 with no issues, but 10w40 will be fine.

Does big and small 16 g have any more scientific term ?seems dumb to have 2 parts with the same name but one is big and one is small
First Google hit explains it better than I'll try: http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/the-difference-between-a-small-16g-and-a-big-16g.318980/

I upgraded my TD04L to a TD05 off an early WRX and got a front facing cover for it.
Tuned for 17 PSI which kicks in at 3500 and tapers to 15PSI at 6500RPM. Stock Exhaust + a factory decatted downpipe.
