  1. Pop ye bonnet, and get a buddy to listen near the brake master cylinder as you depress the brake . I recon Gripless is onto it.
  2. Do it! Well, when we find out where FN23 is going to be
  3. I'll come up from Chch if you trailer down to Manfield, deal?
  4. Message Dave at BrakeTech, he will look after you: https://www.facebook.com/Braketech I heard Bendix Ultimates are EOL for 4 pots Welcome back - loved seeing your GC8 rip up Manfield
  5. Keep it covered in must and go for most dirty car.. if there is an award
  6. AWesome! Got anything to do prior? Wash it? I think we may have met once.. but I can't remember to be honest.
  7. Anyone making the journey down/up to CHCH for Flat Nats? Or just down the road? I'll be there in my wagon Just got an oil and coolant change then a wash and I'll be good to go.
  8. STi Pink springs and STi red struts. To give you an idea of ride height
  9. On a trip to a day hike, I reversed into a car park, with a bit of a dip.. I did not realise how big the dip was and pulled the lip off when leaving. The lip was a cheap, not the best fitting one from ebay so I'm not worried and I'm liking the cleaner look TBH
  10. Car is getting a new clutch at the moment.. plus the rocker covers, rear main seal and the PCV valve and hoses replaced. Hopefully pick it up a in a couple of weeks. Front lip is gone..and I kind of prefer the cleaner look.
  11. Awesome news ! Now if only BP in Greymouth would drop 98 to be comparatively priced to NPD 100
  12. Sadly us Canty guys aren't too active on here these days.. but if you're looking for a workshop, I'd recommend these guys: - SAS - M45 - Crowesport There is a few Chch Subaru Facebook Pages which are pretty active. If you're looking to DIY, I don't think its' too hard, just very fiddly being a Twin Turbo
  13. Over the weekend I drove my WRX for the first time in... 4 months.. and proceeded to rip the front lip off and the clutch started slipping.. so back in the garage it goes until I can afford to replace the clutch. The lip, I'll bin in and replace it with an EZ lip at some point.. the bumper has cracking through it so I may get it repainted. Still makes cool noises when not on full boost though :)
  14. Congrats! I sold my Starlet for a MK6 GTi a few months ago.. still getting used to the DSG quirks, otherwise pretty fun car.
  15. Still got my wagon - just started waxing it for the summer Poor thing needs a good hard drive, it's hasnt left the garage in 4 months
  16. I have this in my WRX: https://www.rallysportdirect.com/part/shifter-and-bushing-combos/kar-kb-002-wrx-combo-kartboy-short-shifter-and-bushing-combo Love it.
  17. Can confirm you get some wooshy noises when on song. Can confirm non-brand ones are garbage, my one is. Was a nightmare to install and lots of adapters to make vac lines fit. Thankfully it doesn't collapse under pressure.
  18. Second this, the Genome is quite a big muffler and the AdrenalinR's sound bloody good. Or if your car still has a mid cat, get that removed.
  19. Drive it, enjoy it, worry about the trans when something happens - K's really aren't everything, service history plays a big role.. If it does go pop, just throw in another, or even try find a 5sp STi box with the right ratio to match your rear diff and get back to it. My car has done 147,000k and 4th gear is crunchy, not the end of the world and it still gets a beating when I drive it.
  20. Nah bro you're all good, WRX's are tough, a launch or two won't hurt.
