The main difference is they retain the 2.0 litre engine, where the NZ/Aus/UK/US markets used the 2.5-litre engine at that stage. They sit about 184kw from memory, which is slightly more than the 2.5 2007/2008s (169kw), but less than the 2009-2014 2.5 (195kw). They are otherwise reasonably similar to the 2007/2008 WRX of the same shape. They are available in auto, and a lot had stop/start buttons and some other options that weren't available here. Some have fewer airbags, lack ISOFIX etc, if you are after safety/family features.
