  1. A few months ago it jammed on constantly when the keys on so that problems solved haha, its going to have a front mount soon anyway
  2. I think I'll pull the gear selector switch apart and hardwire it to the reverse plug on the manual box like you said, but theres the problem that the computer will get screwed up because its in Neutral on the auto switch 24/7 (so that I can start it) but it will be getting a reverse signal.
  3. Ta will try it tomorrow and post back
  4. Woah lol thats obvious but from what he said it sounded like it reprograms the auto function
  5. Yep they're both 4 plug. Thanks boostcut, do I need to be careful due to the chip that its tuned for something totally different and run way rich/lean? or is that just me being paranoid
  6. I've got a chipped 1994 WRX ECU here that I want to put in my 1993 BC5 Legacy. Will it be safe to run in it and any benefits except for the fact its chipped? chur
  7. Wondering about the same question with my V8 STi. http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,15021.0.html

    water noise

Theres a few threads from the past floating around on this
  9. Haha wonder where my 5+ litres of water is going each week
  10. I'd like to know how it works too on my Version 8, whether it comes on at certain boost pressures or intake temps or whatever
  11. Ah gotcha, I misunderstood your first post to mean that your BOV was directly causing it
  12. Erm, how does a blow off valve cause your intercooler to fill up with oil? There will always bit a bit of oil in there due to the blowby recirculation from the rocker covers but your BOV shouldn't cause it.
  13. Just done a manual conversion on my BC5 Legacy. I've left the automatic gear selector switch plugged in and left in 'Neutral', but I want to hook up the reverse lights. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the wiring loom on my car that has the reverse light signal, so I can wire it into the reverse signal on the manual box?
  14. I've got a manual dash cluster for my Legacy for when I convert it from auto to manual, but the new cluster is showing 112,000km and my original is at 202,000km, so I want to wind my new one forward to match. I've searched the internet and everyone reckons send it away, but I don't wanna spend the $$ on that, if it comes to it I'll just leave the new one as it is but would like to keep my milage accurate. Does the old power drill thereoy work? Or can I disassemble it some how?
  15. Sweet cheers will let you know how I go
  16. Ryan, should I use any sealant when putting the new genuine gaskets in, or just straight in dry? And do you have to be careful not to overtighten? In the past I think I've done them a tad too tight, but factory torque seems to be stuff all.
  17. Hmm alright might redo them at the same time to be sure. Thanks for putting me in touch with Lewis, he's got some gaskets on the way.
  18. Yep, althought I've taken the cams on and off so many times its hard to remember if I did the last time lol. But it drips like hell even when the engine is not running, so can't be the caps because they are above where the oil sits, correct?
  19. Im having a hard time trying to get my rocker covers to seal properly on my V4 Sti heads (in a V2 Sti car). Using aftermarket gaskets (may be my first problem?). However, I'm using plenty of Grey Maxx (silicon, like Three Bond), but still doesn't seal, and actually drips oil constantly leaving a pool on the ground. Washers are sealing ok. Any tips? Use a different sealant, or are genuine gaskets a must?
  20. Anyway. Do the plugs on the manual and auto gearboxes match up (for reverse signal and the other plug)? Except for the plug that is automatic specific obviously.
