  1. Rimrite seem to have closed Can anyone recommend somewhere in Auckland to repair curb damage?
  2. And just for future reference if any one else stumbles on this thread with the same problem, a company called http://www.gtmechtronix.co.nz/ in Auckland also appear to offer this service.
  3. PM\'ed both of you AdrianJD and subirex. Cheers
  4. Thanks Adrian that\'s great to know and very helpful!
  5. Hey all, I just bought a 2006 Legacy GT and it has keyless ignition (ie have the fob in range and then press a button). The thing is all I got was one remote/fob with it (Turners Auctions). It also unlocks the doors etc and has a key that you can "extract" from within it. I guess this is for if you lock yourself out somehow, but it still couldn\'t be used to start the car as there is no ignition barrel. Can anyone give me some advice on where I can get a duplicate remote/fob made? I understand Subaru do them, but it\'s like $500. Bugger that!
  6. Thanks for that, looks like it is likely to be a GT. It has the Bilstein shocks, momo wheel and metal pedals, but doesn't have the McInstosh stereo, leather seats or 18" wheels (I think the 17" ones on it are different from the factory ones anyway).
  7. Cheers for that. That raises another question - aren't all the new shape 2003 onwards like mine GTB? I have never been sure and the registration doesn't say. Its got the Bilstein shocks
  8. To be honest I've never been that comofortable with any car auction. Given that with a car you need to see and drive it, I thought that may impact how many people are willing/able to actually bid (ie you might get 1 or 2 bidders only).
  9. Cheers for the input. I will consider it, that's a massive punt though, would probably prefer a standard negotiable price. Any ballpark ideas most welcome!
  10. Hi all, Heading overseas and need to sell my Wagon, problem is I don't really know what it's worth. It's pretty much the manual version of this - http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/subaru/legacy/auction-395712057.htm. Standard 2003 turbo Legacy wagon. About 110km, white and in good condition with new WOF and registration. What would be a good price to list on TM? Problem is there is basically no manuals in my year or that are under private sale. Need to sell it within a month or so. Cheers!
  11. Thanks all, the alarm is wired into the main car computer. Is it worth taking it to the alarm installers first do you reckon to see if they can fix it under the installation warranty? Cheers for all the responses.
  12. Alternatively can anyone recommend a good auto electrician as my mechanic couldnt work it out
  13. I have an AVS S4 alarm and it will arm and disarm correctly. However, sometimes when arming the alarm the doors and boot will not physically lock. I called the AVS guys and they said it is likely to be a physical problem with the locks or the way the alarm is wired to the car computer. Before I take the car to them, I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this problem or can provide any other insight? 2003 Legacy GTB Wagon Thanks!
  14. Mines factory, but got a 6 CD changer too - does this mean there is an input I could use too? Cheers
