  1. hey all gone and bought a bd5 rs against my better judgement and now its driving me up the wall! it has a couple of funny things it does, sometimes it will drive just fine and sometimes when watching the boost gauge on primary it jolts around and builds and drops boost before holding a nice steady level, then sometimes when i bury my foot it will just boost straight up to around 17-18 psi and then the car boost cuts and goes into limp mode, sometimes it will also overboost on secondary too and it often only boosts 10psi on secondary, sounds like its having major boost control issues and drives me crazy when i give it a tiny bit of jandel to overtake etc and it cuts a

  2. at least 5k unless you get mates rates, and thats probly just a basic respray, body and door jams, more if u want to do under bonnet and in the boot, then the paint used would vary in price and the method too, for a real show car glossy wet look finish its not unusual to use up to 8 layers of clear etc, basicaly your question is like saying how long is a piece of string? best bet would be to get out there and talk to a few places and see what they can do for you, dont just take the cheapest quote either, ask to see some of their work, and ask to see a car they have resprayed at least 1 year ago

  3. got the money pit triton back with a fresh wof! all it needed to pass was- complete LR leaf springs and diff mount u bolts, new LR damper, leaf spring mounting bushes L&R, RR tail light lense, L&R outer tie rod ends, LF lower suspension bushes, new handbrake cable, RF cv joint, near new LR dunlop grantrek mud terrain failed because it had a cut in sidewall, a few bulbs, and tighten the towball.... cant wait to get the bill for it...

  4. hayabusa kp60? that would be ssssiiiiick! saw a thread somewhere of one they built as a rally car, watch peoples faces melt as their ears are bombarded by the sound of 13000rpm screaming past them in a shell that weighs less than the women you bag

  5. ah, ha, yes now I know what you are on about! yes that is a bastard, I got a hole saw and slightly enlarged the hole, then I made up a plate with a hole in it and nut welded to the inside to fit in the hole then put it in, welded around it, cleaned up the weld with angle grinder, then painted over it, couldnt tell there was a repair done there, was on my vz I converted to rs spec and it was to be a track car so never got it near the wof man, but even so he would have to be pretty onto it to spot the repair, actually he would have to remove the seat to spot the repair and even then he would be hard pressed to tell

  6. some people are funny, i sold a gearbox and cross member, complete rear subframe with diff etc and engine crossmember for $550 a couple years ago, the guy must have gone into the bank to deposit the money because i had no record of an account number it came from etc, he said his mate would come and pick the parts up, never heard from him or his mate again, trademe had no luck tracking him down either, so i got $550 for nothing?

  7. yeap penguin, dogs ftw, couple staffys in the car that will shred the first screwdriver/wire/hand/face that enters the car is usually a pretty good deterent, that or get a terrano, i have never locked it in all the years i have owned it and no ones ever bothered entering it, the one time i did lock it i was at a trail ride and i came back to find i had locked the bloody keys in it so to avoid that happening i just dont bother haha
