    Wondering if these are completely rubbish or what? I unfortunately Have leaks around my headers an its probably all coming off so just wondering weither I should upgrade them with something else and saw these going stupidly cheap

    atm I've got the stock STI exhaust system with a 3in downpipe (I think its a td04 or 5 turbo)

    was Going to get some through jap race spare SSI tuned headers but they are quite abit outa my price range ;D

    Could be interested in 2nd hand headers if someone got some

    I can't see or feel any leaks but I can kinda hear something. I cant see anything because of the heat shields they got on them haha

    tried to inspect uppipe but i needed an impact wrench or sumin cause those bolts rounded out my cheap socket set haha

    I finished installing this today an wow what a massive difference it made!

    I knew it was gona gain abit of HP but I was actually blown back abit by what a difference it makes

    definitely a worth while mod for anyone whos read this far! total cost was 305$ brandnew.

    only down side is I couldn't get the uppipe bolts off with the tools I had >.< unfortunately I think its still leaking somewhere :(

    yep have done it successfully on my V1, you will need bigger discs for sure.

    Edit, i paid less than $200 for complete setup (front only)

    Did you have the old 16in sti wheels or did you upgrade?

    sounds like a score. Haven't measured mine yet but if your local maybe interested

    Are you guys certain the rotors need changing? Because The wrecker I talked to reckons they are exactly the same an you only need the calipers? (genuine sti with 2pots). He put them on the standard gtb/rs legacys he had an said the v2 sti has the same rotors as the gtb an rs?

    Wheels are 16s but are the earlier style still gold but tbh I don't expect them to fit just curious if anyone knew for sure.

    Where to I measure on the rotors to find out size?

    From what im aware of (do correct me if Im wrong)

    4pots came out on v3 sti but also as a factory option. I think all jap built STI have them stock I think you could upgrade your wrx from factory to have 4pots (I know because I made the mistake of buying a v2 lol) but some locally built don't have 4pots (probably due to safety regulations being lower here or something)

    managed to get some 4pot calipers for cheapish :D (What would you guys call cheap?) Was told by a wrecker they will bolt straight on to my existing 2pot front rotors. Does anyone know if this is true? The other thing I was wondering was do 4pots fit under v1-2 sti wheels ? and will my brake cylinder an booster be able to handle the new brakes as well? Was told I may need to overtop up the filler so I dunno haha new to this an all but getting there mod wise haha

    Anyone know of any members who have done this mod before on a v1-2 wrx/sti?

    P.S Will standard brake caliper paint from supercheap stay on these calipers? Will blast an paint them so they look nice before I put them on

    PP.S Does anyone have a4pot setup I can dummy fit my mag to see if it fits lol :P

    I actually noticed something else :o today as well..

    SO long story short 1yr ago my clutch was done an they had some trouble with various things.One of which was when I got the car back the boost was leaking completely from an intercooler pipe.They fixed it for free of course(apparently the black tape wasn't enough to hold the crack they made on removal :S)

    I was taking off the intercooler to get to 1 of the bolts and I noticed my stock blow off valve intake piece had snapped off an it was barely hanging there with silicone around the area O_O

    Tackled this bast**d today,

    worked out well, got all bolts off with no snapping an just gota unbolt the exhaust now but got rained/winded off an didnt end up finishing(figures!)

    also got a sweet downpipe for 250$ new :)

    The only thing that concerns me is that I can't SEE any rusted pipe or leaky places on the downpipe yet :S hope I didn't buy that pipe for nothing O_O

    JUST WONDERING IF it wasn't the downpipe leaking where else should I look? possible turbo housing crack maybe?

    also heres a pic of the sweet new pipe cause I know you'll enjoy looking

    Id rather buy one locally if I can but theres none on there. I'm trying to get shipping through my work so will see how it goes but if I gota pay over 200 to get it to my door may as well spend a wee bit more an get a new one ;D

    ok thanks for the tips everyone will let you know how it goes

    So in the way of exhaust systems is there anything worth replacing at this point? I was thinking about headers an stuff but sti comes with decent exhaust system on v1-2 so im unsure what would be worth the money?

    im only running what 9 or 12 psi? Was told the only realistic mod todo would be boost upgrade with the supporting mods IF my engine could handle it

    thanks for replies, will try some "Spray Penetrant " any particular brand you recommend? I was just going to use wd-40 but if theres something better for the job...

    and lube or spray ?

    I was watching some videos on youtube with people using blow torch an candle wax anyone tried that?

    oh and its a 95sti V ltd engine so should have a td05? or td04? the only upgrade I would do would be an aftermarket ecu with boost up an fuel remap but frankly the engine would need a good tune up before I could attempt that :(

    I don't know if headers would really make all that much different to the stock sti headers? well at least not enough to justify spending that much?

    Was wanting to do the job on the cheaper side so I can get the wof , power wise more would be great but im happy with what I got :P

    Hi, failed my wof on turbo exhaust leak, possibly the gasket but more likely the down pipe?

    would anyone be kind enough to give me tips on how I should go about doing this? im very tempted to try myself but I am aware the turbo manifold bolts are rusted an will break so basically wondering to those who have done this before what worked for you?

    also anyone got a cheap down pipe for sale ? xD or cna anyone recommend one that won't break the bank an give good performance? I've got a decent chance here to do some turbo mods if anyone got any ideas?

    car is like almost dead all around but I still love her long time
