  1. just read and im glad that just a quote i hope you get a good deal, i recently got a sti engine rebuilt in my legacy down here in chch, got closed deck supplyed rebuilt and fully forged for just over 4k and that included 20k warranty or one year whatever comes first

  2. car is a bd5 94 sedan with forged sti v3 engine,2.5inch turbo back rage exhaust, flipped vf22 @ 19psi tapering to 17 and flipped manifold,profecb,g4 link some other minor mods, first time for tuning and dyno was at nzefi chch, car feels alot better.

ill try get better picture as abit blurry 367.4Nm 204.4Kw atw

  3. ive had the 3set of pulleys for few years now i didnt notice much power difference however on the twin turbo engine it did make it rev more freely, these are now on a rebuilt forged v3 sti engine using only two pulleys due to flipped manifold and have been on since engine was built run-in so with reguarding to lifespan hopefully give me a few years and ill let you know no ill effect on engine or dramatically anyways, done almost 20k so far

    cheers solja

  4. i got the same turbo on a v3 forged engine, at moment im running 14psi on low setting and 19 on high, vf22 tends to break if used over 20-22psi+ for long periods, have watever you want on low setting 12-15 and 18 on high if you wanna boost day in day out. the bigger the difference between low and high the more youll feel the difference if you have a remote button on steering wheel like i do

  5. I relocated battery to the boot about 6months ago and had no problems, reason i done it was mainly for convience but also to have a place i could put the ra watersprayer tank in the engine bay and with battery being similar size i thought it was logical. after i finished it shortened all my amp cables and helped clean things up definately a worthwhile task if you run tons of electronics like i do 3amps,inverter,playstation,scanner etc

  6. just alittle off topic but i was wondering what the weight figures of the sti spec c were, also the if anyone knew the v8,9,10 to , reason im asking is i got a sti v3 in my bd legacy sedan and weighed it for the second time and as twin turbo it was 1380kg now as sti its 1276kg and i havent done any weight reduction yet though its on the cards, itll be a long road to get the legacy to handle like spec c but can it be done

  7. this on a rebuilt v3 engine but everyday driving on a gt sedans 50litre tank i get 450km and done a night trip from chch to alexandra boosting most hills and off a full tank i got 610km before fuel light come on, pretty dam good i reckon compared to the old twin turbo that guzzles each time you wanted to have some fun

  8. i went frontmount on my v3 engine bout a year ago, heres my opinion only. performance wise i didnt get that much more lag over over topmount , turbo kicked in 400rpm later with the piping like zarnahs pic. powerwise i did noticed a small gain but mainly no heatsoak like the topmount. I then flipped manifold and the turbo and theres little to no lag difference in when the turbo enguages than over the topmount. i do agree frontmounts are not needed on the adverage subie but i do reckon its worth it and im liking how simplifyed the engine can become once the topmount is removed and things start getting flipped

  9. Car 1994 BD5 GT Sedan Manual

Mods Reloomed to sti v3,converted to manual, forged closed deck, flipped turbo and manifold, frontmount,TB exhaust,4pot brakes, dtm 17's plus alot more

Things u like it goes hard, looks like a rally car and has subie rumble

What you dislike it likes money even when i dont wanna feed it coin

Why you brought it always liked legacy sedans

What your future plans are drive this engine to it cant go no further then 2.2/2.7 build
