fingers are crossed but only need to top up around 1 litre of oil and it said it was full after that.

fair call mate, im just glad i saw the trail in a lit up area. so best to tow to garage and leave it up to them? car was running fine just before i turned it off so hoping no damage was done.

hi there, noticed a few small oil drips in my garage and didnt think it was unsafe to drive but then last night i went for a small drive and looked behind me to see a thick trail for oil following me for about 500m. I immediately pulled over and stopped the car. I then looked at the oil stick and there was only a small trace of oil so i waited till it cooled down and topped oil up so it was full. Have I done anything wrong and what should i do next to avoid any further damage to the car? Ive had a look underneath and looks like a seal has split just above the filter. I have not started it since I saw the oil trail. help will be much appreciated as I am about to sell her! cheers

its ok , they said i would get $8k payout next week. now i have to find another car and there is nothing on trademe! if i fail any of my exams, uni takes this into consideration and will pass me. so im pretty much sorted for that
