  1. Ive got to much bloody noise. Ive got a 2.5inch dump pipe to one resonator then 3inch to an xforce (non) muffler.

Any suggestions to quite it down? even with the silencer in its to loud for my old ears. Just want alittle bit of rumble and a bit more when you give it a squirt.

I was kicking myself for missing out on yours, but i think the same. Now that they are on the car they actually look quite good. Pretty happy.

I would have held them for you no worries. Never mind I think these suit it better. They look in good nick. If they are rubbing now they would have with the 225\'s.

Yip they are in great nick, little bit of kerbing on one mag but other than that they are mint. No rubbing at the moment so all ok, a trip through the gorge will be my confirmation though ;)

Looking good stira. Split spoke design works on your Type R.

Stoffa, I feel sorry for you. You seem obsessed with getting your car "right" all that down time with your car off the road, gave you too much time to think.

  4. Just the ones that came on the mags 215 45 17s. Our roads are so rubbish I think the extra profile helps a lot. Since levelling the suspension and putting the mags on, it seems to handle way better. i have a feeling the wheel alignment was miles out before and now it is back to almost normal.

They are just bridges tome my01s and roadstars, will put something decent on as they wear out, just not sure whether to go lower profile or stick with 45 series tyres.

I would measure from a fixed point to make sure both sides are even. i.e sill to ground, or chassis rail to ground.

Guard heights aren\'t always perfect. and if your a fat bastard like me go 5mm higher on the drivers side

Its got no wheels and its on axle stands, so ive measured from the top plate to the adjustment point and screwed it down 30mm. All being equal that should do the trick, though ill check once its got wheels and is on the ground again to make sure.

Its done alot of adjustment though, so im not sure how it will end up.

No worries about the "fat bastard " part, I should be fine with less than a mm ;)

  6. Thought so, the back was set up to the right height but for some reason the front was a good 30mm higher. My c spanners arrived today so have been adjusting the ride height back to the cert plate height on the front. Will now need a full wheel alignment once the mags are on. Anything else ill need to do?

You can see in this photo with the gap in the arch on the front wheel and the car looks like its going up hill.

Thinking about getting one of these, is there any difference between the years or is just a case of get as later model with as low kms as possible except in blue?

If you quote Model Year instead of the confusing year of registration, there are actually only two model years for the v7, it first came out as a MY01, then was revised for MY02.

The MY02 revision (cars built post- Sept 2001) was cosmetic with slight changes to the grill (black 6 star emblem, STI badge), a deeper air intake and dark glass on the HID headlights. Power, torque the same until the v8 (MY03).

ta, thats the info I was after.
