Hey all just wondering what your thoughts were for the launch control (when added ) ?? I have only ever done it twice and its awesome but your clutch takes a beating (my car stinks of it for a while ).Any thoughts would be great

Hi there has anyone changed there front pipe on there twin turbo b4 ?? I have heard that you will have to reset the ecu etc.I have also heard if done wrong you can stuff your motor or turbos. My friend wants a full exhaust, tune, fuel pump to get some more grunt from the car. Any tips would be great

I think I like Sultans idea of putting gas in it and driving the car for a while.I don't really have much money at the moment and I'll probably get rid of the v7 and hopefully upgrade at some stage(if my wife lets me lol) to a v8 or v9 with lower kms.

Yeah thanks sultan thats a good call mate. Makes a lot of sense. Might have to get a couple of lotto tickets a week and cross my fingers.

Thanks for the tips guys. I heard Steve Murch could change the turbo wheel and internals of the factory turbo for more power and a cheaper price.

How much are they roughly? are they a mission to fit ??

Hey all just wondering what you all think for the next steps of mods for the car (on a budget to sadly ) I have k and n panel filter 3 inch turbo back exhaust walbro fuel pump and custom tune to 22psi no knock etc gizzmo boost controller 220kw @ the wheels I don't want to sound like a spoilt child but car goes great but as you all know you get used to the power pretty quick,anything else you guys and girls can recomend. Car has done 130kms and is only a weekend toy.Any help would be great.

No just got up early and had a nice drive to Kawakawa Bay from Howick on Sunday morning, nothing stupid but a lot of fun. Definitly want to do a track day soon.

I've got a 2001 v7 sti in black. Great cars not sure on differences though. Definitly heaps of blue ones around but still a nice colour I think. Make sure you get a diagnostic scan to check for any faulty codes ie cam angle sensor and check for knocking etc. Best of luck with your purchase.

Mate sounds like you always have bad luck aye, tickets from cops, people reversing into your car etc. Dodgy sounds from car when it gets back from workshop ?? Your car might be cursed !!

yeah I know it wont compare to a v7sti but I had a 97 rs twinturbo a few years ago and that went a lot better, it had a lot more kick with the 2nd turbo.Maybe my friend bought a lemon.

Hey guys and girls , my mate has a 2002 b4 twin turbo and wants more power .I told him to start with a a exhaust but I got told that tou have to keep the cats or sensors in so the ecu doesn't have problems.Has any one put a front pipe on this model ?? Can you reflash the factory ecu . This car feels very sad compared to v7 sti so just want to help my mate get some power. Any help or ideas would great.

Hey all went to install a gizzmo ebc and have lost all my lights on my dash at night,i blew a couple of fuses as well, any ideas ?? do you think ive overloaded something etc

Hey all just wondering if any one has used Dynopower in Tauranga for Dyno work?? want to tune my V7 STI and their prices seem good.

the car was spiking before the exhaust sorry, I've just set the tee so it hits 1.2 bar in 5th or 6th gear but feels like it had more pull before with standard solanoid but was hitting higher boost due to spiking.

Hey guys I have a v7 sti with a 3inch exhaust from the turbo back,I had a issue with turbo spiking ( hitting 1.3 to 1.4 bar ) and put a boost tee on to bring it back to 1.2 for now. I'm getting the ecu reflashed soon and was thinking of getting a ebc to sort out the spiking and bring on the boost quicker and be more stable.What are your thoughts ??should i get another factory solanoid or a aftermarket electronic boost controller or keep the turbosmart boost tee and tune it with that, any thoughts would be great.??

Hey all what to get my v7 sti tuned after xmas and was wondering who you think is best for a tune ?Can get mates to do road tunes but how good are they really as you have no true power figuers from before and after?

Redline doing a full stainless 3 inch system for 600 bucks at the moment,out of stock at the moment but have been told thats very cheap,has a big rear muffler which you have to put that horrible looking insert in for a wof.Dont wont the car to loud just wont the power gains really.

Hi there looking at getting a full exhaust for my sti and have been told to go 2.5 inch all the way but have found to be a lot more expensive than a full 3 inch? 2.5 system is suppose to be better for a standard turbo ? any thoughts or recomendations would help ?
