  1. sc14 would be fine, you would get quite a few kms just using that on your standard engine, as its not too powerful

I put a sc14 on my old 2.3L straight 6 BMW e30, went very well, idle was shit, but when driving it went hard, only made about 6psi, my e30 was just my play car really so i didnt care about the idle.

only mods i did to make it run were fuel pressure regulator and upgraded fuel pump, the bracket cost the same as the supercharger ($250 2nd hand out of a toyota previa or astina i think??) has to be perferctly plumb and align or it will just strip belts. the sc14 has an electronically activated clutch, i wired it to a switch so i could run my car with the supercharger off if i needed to.

probably not worth it at all though doing it to a suby

I bought my e30 mtech1 for $800 as a non-runner with no wof and reg on hold (it had leather interior, 5spd and full mtech body kit, looked pretty mint, fixed it myself, then spent just under $1000 getting rid of rust (did it myself) including getting the supercharger completed (did it myself) and getting a wof, and $400 on 17" mags

sold it for $4200, running algd but with a shit as idle

mint profit really, there are some old dudes out there willing to pay big bucks for mint e30s, expecially mtech ones

  2. yeah, my uncle had his rx7 batty stolen a few years back, insurance paid out like 18grand or something around there

then a year later they find the car has a new owner in whangarei, had been fully resprayed and different wheels, cops impounded it and it was auctioned.

me and my uncle where the only ones at the auction, and he bought it back for $2200

    sweet system really

  3. hate: Twin turbos of any model pretty much, the "FWD" fuse that makes the car FWD (why the fuck didnt they just make it a RWD switch?)

love: suby rumble, the way the engines look (most old people look under the bonnet of a suby and go how the fuck does this work?>>)

how gt/rs come standard with momo shit (steering wheel etc)

interchangable parts definately an awesome one, like swapping vf10 with vf22 ^_^

alot of the standard 17" wheels on newer subis look GANGS on older subies (i.e; mine with gtb wheels)

the sound of a subaru with a wastegate = thumbs up, when the misses is bitching, theres no way she can yell louder that a screaming wastegate :P (yeah fuckit i love wastegates), aftermarket bits are piece of piss to get a hold of. yeh i cant be fudgd typing anymore

  4. well youve got the red T piece correct (piece in between wastegate and turbo)

now the pipe that comes off the red T piece will go into your cabin onto your controller knob (larger red piece with turny knob)

there should be an arrow on the unit to indicate which bit to hook the pipe onto

the remaining pipe just goes back into the intake for the air to be recycled, you can hook it up but its not that important tbh

sorry if you've already sussed it i just couldnt be fricked w8n for pictures to load lol

  5. those are a piece of piss to install

there are arrows on the unit itself, and also on the vacuum line splitter (smaller red thing that may or may not have come with yours)

    Pretty much

    ................cut here and

    .............put boost controller

    Turbo -----------/--------------- Wastegate ( "-" represents a rubber pipe)

  6. Subaru engines = Reliable

But if your subaru engine = fast

deemed subaru engine = not reliable

My car = low kms, services regularly and properly, drive like a nana unless i suddenly get the urg to strip some vtec honda = reliable as fuck, never breaks down, starts first pop every time and doesnt make any sticky lifter noise. (had to fix a few things on the car when i bought it like radiator headder upgrade to steel tank, new starter motor, new Idle control valve) and since doing that ive had no problems what so ever

just remember lads, it may be cool to boost 20pounds au but it aint cool when you gotta fork out for that replacement turbo / bottem end :P

  7. top mount ftw, the intake piping is soo short makes fuck all lag

fmic, yeah they are all good, but i rekon most of the time upgrading to a fmic is just for looks tbh, unless you're running high horse power then of course fmic would own up, (assuming the car is moving foward, but obviously no-one would give a rats ass about modding their car if it didnt actually move foward)

  8. I would definately be keen on a RWD conversion in my car (gen1 legacy)

But if I'd do it i'd do it properly thats for sure, I.e; upgrade cvs to a higher tensile metal by getting custom ones mate, and probably get a diff from a wrx and have it rebuilt with much stronger parts, the 6speed dccd gearbox would be mint to have to but fark those things cost a fuck load (but worth it imo)

Meh, my car is still auto so RWD is a long way off for me, but hey I can always put the fuse in and go FWD (ahaha..not)

My car makes all 4 spin in the wet easily, with boost on standard and 215/40/r17 directional tyres, drifting in the wet is sooo sweet with 4wd, its so hard to loose control lol, its like its 4wd is ment for drifting

if your a noob and you drifting your rwd skyline there is a 95% chance is going to wrap right around that telephone pole / over that curb

  9. pretty sure thats a sensor which makes your boost cut once it reaches a certain point (ie 16psi) unplug this and you will have no boost cut (rangi mod which is bad for your car but it does work) my mate has a legacy gt wagon and he runs 16psi strong without an aftermarket boost controller, he just pulled off some pipe and unplugged the senser and now the car doesnt have a boost cut.

**I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND DOING THIS**

  10. Nope, nothing would have been open which sold orange bulbs (unless they sell them at gas stations) I'm just gonna buy some tomorrow before work.

But yeah, cheap fix if this is the sorta look your wanting to go for. You might be able to do it for the wagon versions aswell, unsure though, but it would make sense that subaru would use the same orange plastic thing in the tail light of the wagon model.
