my V3's put me a little lowere AND a WRX is narrower so you end up closer to the doors!
see how wrong I am, you end up closer to the centre console not the doors....
-
-
nope - OEM part bolt in and re-using OEM bolt holes/rails, no modifications needed to mounts/structure
you can Bolt a full Carbon Fiber race seat in as long as it truly BOLTS in without modification...
-
you trying to compensate for something Reub's?
-
like... holy crap batman...!!! ??? ??? ???
go buy yourself a scratchy from the lotto shop
aha - why do ppl always think its lucky to have a close call like that!
I think the opposite - you were unlucky for it to happen in the first place! (or to lay blame stupid and lazy for not doing it right in 1st place...)
glad you are sorted and safe now thou :]

everyone learns in a different way
ease up buddy

oh pure gold right there!

with a large enough population of any car type in one place those sort of results are going to be skewed
ask how many of us have installed alarms into our cars and you can assume we live in a crime-ridden nation
you will get the same reaction on any message board is my point (Holden/Mitsi/Fiat etc)
heck that's why most people join - to learn how to fix/tinker with their chosen Motor etc.

...he's dangerous...

Youll need;
At least 4.5liters of oil
An oil filter strap OR a 6inch square piece of non slip foam (makes undoing the filter a shitload easier)
17mm spanner for the sump plug
12mm spanner for the plastic under tray if yours is still fitted
A bucket to drain the oil into
Thats it
hope someone added a Jack and jack stand!
or at least a deep ditch to park over....
NEVER get under a car with just your Scissor jack supporting the vehicle
-
dont knock it till you try it - as above said it can be an imrovement
you will find that anyone who says it is a waste of time gennerally has not had persoanl experiance DOING it, but have heard from a mate/read on the internet that its not a great idea
like a FMIC - alot of work for very little gain
and it is possible to do it without changing much over - some plumbing a stuff is all
I haven't done it either
-
hah you bloodly left out all the TWIN turbo LEGACY VF's!

anyrthing that age (V3+) is an erratic time bomb
some go off or never stop running then blow up in your face the day after you sell it!
mine is a '98 GTB approaching 190,000 km and has attended many track days and high boost on occasions, never missed a beat
then others are into threir 2nd rebuild even before 100,000' km etc
good servicing ang thorough check ir required - and I would personally go for a re-built motor with receipts/proof of what went into the 'build'
or buy 03 plus model and not worry for 5+ years about the same problem
this is not a SUBARU specific problem but any performance car of that age
