yup - un-rebuildable i was told
hit and miss whether you get a good one (or both if you are keen)
both mine were leaking so I replaced both

basically any excess fluid leak is a fail
I went from vf18/19 combo to vf31/27 - all bolt on 'upgrade'

I have the same wing as Scoob and from the marks on the hatch (I had to swap mine last year) it wasn't OEM on my GTB either (RFRB)

Yea I mean take an outback (is it just me or are the gaurds extra flared etc) and put a turbo or two into it
obvious drive train upgrades to match etc - hence conversion

Orange are V3-V4 sti and GTB and you should stick with the same colour sticker every time

+1 on that, two tanks gas either way roughly $160 a fill (allow food+beverages at BP etc)
around $300 round trip? ignore accommodation as we are everywhere and I am sure someone hasa couch to rent
that is of course best case scenario and like you say is the simplest solution to get them transported - no time off/thing to arrange (dog to look after etc)

hard to see from here but unless Alcohol (or any 'other' substance') there wouldn't be much the cops would be able to sting him for - unless speed was a factor?
