  1. my thoughts would be it wouldnt cool it enough....OR it would be the wrong temperature maybe...a real good oil cooler runs a thermostat...not sure what temperaure they sit at though

  3. today i replaced my LR inner cv boot and also replaced my LR hub LOL..2morow is to remove the monsoon glue and paint the chrome tail lights black!! and a few other thing... then im just waiting for my silicone joiner to show up to go on my zerosports intake

  6. yea mine has no play what so ever and isnt passing oil at all....bu does the sound...but i have a full exhaust and full aftermarket intake if that would make the turbo sound any louder on idle????
  7. the wheel bearing i had was sooo rooted it wore out the inside of the hub so i had to get another one...the bearing i got quoted for was 135+gst for 65mm and 72mm was 160+ gst plus needing a press to fit it anyway,,,the hub was 100 bucks with a mint bearing and has a 6 month warrenty

  10. just making a topic to say strong subaru parts is the shit!!!! i went in to get me a hub for my LR to replace the noisy wheel bearing as was happy with their service..even water blasted it and gave it a lick of black paint =) so while i was waiting i was looking around the shop... Brought me a zerosports intake that ive been looking for for AGES and got it cheap as clubsub rates one happy chappy and theres sooo much goodies in store i just want to buy it all!! and for anyone after a Zerosports air diversion plate for the intercooler with water sprayers theres one in there!! Lots of STI top mounts and the y pipe with the red silicone joiner off a STI etc theres heaps in there and really good prices too!!!
  11. yea bro same...which turbo is his??? seems common as iv seen heaps of vf23s for sale stating the same... and my old skyline did the same for ages without blowing... the noise on mine goes away as soon as u start making + pressure as the noise stops and u hear the suction "spool sound"
  12. what else u want me 2 say?? ive said the tap has a 1mm restrictor...this works well with internal gates with soft springs like i said..it helps to keep them shut longer on spool to stop the gate creeping open... on an external gate with a hard spring the restrictor has lost its purpose as the spring is what keeps in shut on spool..so u drill out the restrictor and u get no more boost spike... added a few words but is basicly the same thing...
  13. iv explained this how many times... when running the internal gate with a soft spring u leave the 1mm restrictor in the GFB controller .. my external has a 12psi spring so with the restrictor i got spike...drilled the restrictor out and all works perfectly boosting 16psi all day long

  15. hey fellas.. i got a VF23 a while back to replace my blowen VF22 and ever since i got the VF23 its had bearing noise?? when engine is idling u can hear the turbo spinning....and when u turn the engine off u can hear it winding down to a stop... i was wondering if this is sooooo bad ..the reason i asked is iv had a lot of RBs with standard ballbearing turbos and they sound the same??? have they all been rooted?? my question is does this urgently need rebuilding?? has been doing it since i got it?? and can anything on the vf23 bee modified to make it any better?? sounds stupid i know but i did read on one members car a while back a modified vf23?? dont know what got modified LOL what sort of price am i looking at for a rebuild?? or should i go td05h 20g?
  16. well i guess urv been running a shitty as 30 dolelr ball and spring tap yeah??? get ur hands on a GFB atomik tap if u dont have much money..they work brilliant... works perfect on my external gate with the restrictor drilled and also a mate had a 97 wrx sedan JDM spec with yellow injectors and VF22 and running internal gate and a GFB tap it would run 16 psi smooth as a nut... u pay for quality thats y ebcs WORK and are expensive
  17. lol famous last words ..if hes blowen a gearbox twice and a engine i think the man is capable of blowing a 6 speed. can i ask what clutch u run?
  18. the ones with the adjustable threaded rod can only do so much efficiantly...u can take ur standard one off and thread it and cut it and out some nuts on it etc and do it urself....but y dont u be like everyone else and save alot of hassle and just run a decent boost controller ie ebc?

    cuty and polish didnt work...the double side tape is pretty thick..cut and polish can get thin stuff off for sure... has someone actually done it (without a theory) and it worked and not eaten the paint...the mrs has some nail polish remover if this works???

  22. u should be able to get a kit which has all the bearings in it for the gearbox??? would be worth while since shes all opened up to replace them
