but anyone from chch think the old rules were far better in terms of travel time?

We are new arrivals in Chch and have seen prior and since the new rules. Chch has a phenomenon called the orange train, it is the flow of cars turning after the lights have changed to orange and red. Since the law change the orange train has grown as right turning traffic has had to queue the entire time the lights have been green. Chch needs more turn flow lights. Sometimes it is quicker to turn left then hang a u turn to go where you need to go.

When CS Dad was doing a wiring install for some gauges we had a play with what wires did what while trying to find a switched power feed, and in a loom, we found what we believed to be the wire controlling the ding. I told him to note down what colour it was. Did he? No. So that knowledge is lost to the ether haha

CS Dad gets pensieve from cupboard, extracts relevant memory from mind, wait !! there is Scoobydoo in the passenger seat playing with his high tech HTC while others are working, the fog clears further and there are seen some connectors around the steering column, it is the black one with one wire in it that is unplugged, the door alarm is suddenly silent. Pensieve goes back into the cupboard. ;)

  3. We went to the local Placemakers store in Paraparaumu on Saturday morning to meet Hayden Paddon. Got to say that I was mightily impressed by Hayden, very easy to talk too.

    WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That dude on Trademe has blacklisted me, i politely meantioned that it wasn't a prodrive (no scoop etc) and even said, "aside from that its a nice looking car good luck with the sale" (even though it lhas ghey wheels and an ugly front lip)

Must not want the truth to come out

Can't have been the first person to comment on it, shouldn't be the last either. IRL it's a she.

    ;)

I have an 04 NZ new Subaru which has a transponder controlled immobiliser.

It has had a Dynatron alarm upgrade added

It only came with one key remote. I'd like another but Winger want $200. Can you put me onto someone who can supply me one for a more reasonable price?

Ditch the whole thing, install the 5 Star AVS alarm, we have them in both our Subaru's and are completely happy with them and the AVS service.

  6. Old strut to be replaced, leaking and failing.

    DSC02719.jpg

    The right tools help.

    DSC02726.jpg

This replacement one was faulty, the insert had not been seated properly and it was unusable.

    DSC02725.jpg

Inside the strut with the old grease.

    DSC02722.jpg

Cleaned and ready to reinsert into strut.

    Fitting replacement into car.

Both rear struts were replaced, the ride is far better with a much more solid feel to the back end, drove home with a heavy jack and other weight in the back so it is hard to gauge the changes yet.

Big thanks to Bazza and WorkshopManager for the help and place.
